Hi, I'm Andrea Jones. When leaders want to grow their business, they need to know whether the team they have, who's running the day to day, who's technically capable of doing that, also has the technical skills to do all the work required to take the business to point B. Right. And the concern these leaders have is, do I need to spend more money to bring in some technical competence because my team doesn't have it, or can I get by without spending extra? Right. So let's use data to help adjudicate this question for leaders. We have evaluated dozens and dozens of leaders on this question, and we asked them whether they themselves are doing some of this project work to grow the business. All right? So 65% of them say that they are. Right. And this is interesting. Okay, so of the leaders who are doing work to help grow the business, three out of four of them, or 75% believe they themselves have the competence, the technical skills required to do it. But when we ask those same leaders, and this is now all of them for the other people helping on those projects. Right. That they need to have help with in their company, do they think the other people have the technical skills? And there it drops off, because only about half the time do they think their team is technically competent. But if they themselves believe three out of four times, or 75% that they're competent, why would the rest of the team be any different? Right. This could be an interesting blind spot. Maybe leaders think their team doesn't have the technical skills and they go and spend money when they didn't need to. But maybe their team doesn't really have it and they need to spend money. Right? So the question is, do I need to spend money or not? And the answer is, why don't you ask the team directly? And that's what the executagility assessment does in less than three minutes.
