Educational Resources on Acquire.com

Andrew from Microacquire walks through free resources for founders navigating acquisition. The site covers due diligence, valuation, deal structuring, and legal documents to help demystify how startups get bought.
How's it going? This is Andrew with Microacquire. In this quick video, I'm going to be going over the resources that we provide entirely free to entrepreneurs looking to get acquired. So there's not a lot of topics being written on acquisitions. There's a lot on fundraising, there's a lot on growth strategies, but there's not a lot on what is due diligence. How do you value your company? Data rooms Escrow like how do you go through an acquisition? And so at Microacquire we've created a plethora of content and so one way to view that content would be just to go into the marketplace. Click tutorials and this will load our resource section. So we talk about everything from ways to attract more offers for your startup, how to transfer assets, how to structure a deal that makes you and the buyer happy, just pretty much everything from top to bottom, from three signs of SaaS, businesses worth acquiring, how to value your startup, how to prepare your startup for an acquisition, and then we also have additional resources such as legal Doc. So if you don't have an attorney and maybe the deal that you're looking to get done is on the smaller end. We have a templated set of documents that you can use, everything from an NDA to an LOI to a purchase agreement. And you're free to download these documents and customize them as you see fit. And then we also have a directory of legal M and A advisors that can help you guide yourself through the legal process of an acquisition, which I highly recommend if you're selling a business that's doing a significant amount of revenue and it's going to be a potential life changing event. Invest in having experts that have gone through this process. Learn as much as you can. Go through our Microacquire Academy where you'll learn about valuations, common deal structures, how to prepare for an acquisition, data rooms example P and L attracting more offer. There's so much content in here but it, it definitely is a great investment to really just reach out to these people even for a few hours of help. And we also offer references to M and A advisors. So we have a list of M and A advisors that work with preferred deal sizes. We list their successful acquisitions, what is their pricing model? And you might be wondering what does an M and A advisor do? So an M and A advisor, as an example, when I sold business apps I had just like guidance from a friend that was an investment banker and it wasn't anything revolutionary. Sometimes if you want, you can hire someone to run the whole process. So they'll negotiate on your behalf, they'll create a buyer list, they'll, you know, make your P and L look really like. Create everything from end to end so you can focus on running your business. For me, I ran my own process, but I still had someone just, you know, quick questions like, hey, is this due diligence request normal? Should I send this email? How should I word this? You know, the buyers doing xyz, what are your thoughts? Just having someone in your corner can give you so much more confidence as you start speaking with buyers on Microquire. So I hope this video was helpful. But in summary, we have a ton of resources for you to go through on different topics on even how to grow your startup. So look through these and definitely go through the Microacquire Academy. This will make you so much more confident as you start speaking with buyers. And it's completely free. I recorded this to help entrepreneurs really understand the acquisition process, because as a founder, there's just not enough information available. And so our goal at Microquire is to educate entrepreneurs on how to get their company acquired and how to do that at the highest price possible and how to run a proper process that a typical investment bank. So we're kind of unveiling the curtain on how to sell your company. And so if you have any questions, you can feel free to reach out to us. And I hope this is helpful and we'll continue to be adding to this. So definitely check back on our YouTube channel, our resources section, and I hope you enjoy the content. Cheers.
