A first-person account (YouTube monologue) describing how the speaker revisited an old MicroAcquire/acquire.com listing, updated and resubmitted it, and how that simple update triggered a sequence of events that led them to seriously consider — and move toward — exiting their startup instead of pursuing more funding.
You initially go live on acquire.com what kind of happened in the first couple weeks? There's a little backstory that you won't know. Actually, about four years ago, I discovered Microacquire, when you were still microacquired. I created an old profile just to I was kind of curious what my valuation might be at that point, and something reminded me of it. So this was maybe November, December last year. I started to think more seriously about should I get more funding for this company, or am I committed to bringing a little more balance into my life and exiting myself? And I remembered acquire.com and so I just checked out your guys site and I logged into my old profile and it was still there. So I updated it and I resubmitted the listing. It was really that stage that I thought a little more seriously about exiting. But once that listing had happened, things started to just happen step by step. Naturally.
