This is a YouTube video titled "How to build buyer trust when selling on Acquire.com" containing a conversation recorded in November 2024. The discussion features Andrew Gazdecki and another speaker talking about the importance of trust in the selling process on Acquire.com, including practical advice on providing financial documents and maintaining buyer confidence.
When a buyer asks you some simple questions like I don't know, do you have an org chart? You know, again, I'm going to use a P and L example. Do you have just like a 36 month P& L broken out with expenses? And if you can't produce that quickly, they're going to immediately know that if you told a story like I'm talking to five different buyers, it's like, no, you're not. And so you kind of show on your cards and then you slow down the process and you know, you lose momentum so easily if you do that.
Yeah, this goes back to trust for me.
Right.
You know, you had to build trust for acquire.com to get both sides to participate. But selling your company is selling trust. Right. If I buy shares of GoDaddy today, I can change my mind and sell them tomorrow. If I buy some random startup, I'm stuck with it. Right. And so, yeah, it's a huge, there's a huge element of trust there. A big part of that is, yeah, you want to know that management is on top of their, top of their game, you know.
