How to Ensure a Successful Letter of Intent + Buyer Preparation Tips

I'm going to let you pick one through five in terms of you know, how does one of these items help ensure that a letter of intent closes and why is it important that a seller goes through this?

Yeah, I'll knock off number one. A lot of times where you're based it will change funding options. So just being ahead of that making sure the buyer knows that for example if you're not in the US you can't have an SBA loan. Maybe Blue Post is another option there Some other times there'll be restrictions on transfer of assets in certain countries out the world. So just be aware of that. This is primarily legal. So maybe loop an attorney then just to get a broad view of what an asset sale to potentially a foreigner might entail and don't expect that the buyer knows this. It's your job to be prepared for this. Let the buyer know ahead of time whether anything's complicated to the deal.

Yeah.
