Strategies for landing your first customers: leverage friends and family, engage on Reddit and Quora, and use App Store Optimization to get discovered. Practical tactics for early-stage founders who need traction before anything else works.
You guys did pretty, pretty damn good. Tell me about how did you guys get your first customers? So I guess the first few were all just friends and family, right? Like people using it or friends of friends using it. Like, hey, someone launched this thing, like try it out. But really like getting the first, you know, getting past just like the first dollar pretty much was all like posting where our customers would have hung out. So at the time it was like Reddit or Quora if people are certain or searching for certain type of questions or whatnot. Like if you look up, you know what's the best stock alerting app on Quora? You'll see like hundred, like tens of answers by me specifically, like just everywhere. So posting. I like that. ASO worked super well, right? So optimizing for certain keywords on the App Store worked really nicely.
