This is a YouTube video titled "Lessons from a serial founder: Avoid these mistakes!" containing a discussion between two speakers about lessons learned from launching projects, focusing on customer engagement, minimum viable feedback, and experimentation in early sales strategies. The conversation explores the challenges of finding what works for different projects and emphasizes the trial-and-error nature of gaining initial customers.
Is there anything that you've learned at this point? So when you release something new, like mistakes that you avoid in the past or shortcuts that you take, it really.
Depends on the project. I think for some projects, directories would not work. For directories, when I started, I had like a free version. What I was looking for is sales. But first, like, okay, do people actually use the app? Because if they don't use the app, then it's pointless to try to optimize for sales and stuff like that. I would say just minimum viable feedback, sort of anything that say, okay, people are at least somewhat interested by that. But again, it's not an exact science. It really depends on the project. And I think that's why a lot of people have trouble when they start, don't know what to do. Because it's just about trying lots of things. Maybe try called outreach. I have some projects who got some answers called outreach, but other not when.
You'Re going from nothing to getting those initial customers. It's kind of like an experiment. Like there's no exact playbook on what's going to work. It's depending on the customer. You got to try a bunch of different.
