A founder walks through how to build a data room for fundraising. Learn what investors actually look for, how to organize documents so they find what they need, and why the details matter when you're asking for money.
Yeah. So I'm fortunate in that come from a background where I've raised money before spoken to investors, had to put together data rooms for previous businesses in a data room for listeners who don't know, essentially a collection of all your important documents as a business, from your financials to your pitch decks to sales pipelines, to whatever is relevant to you, but basically a bit of a dump from all your internal systems and knowledge repos. So I had some experience putting these things together and knowing what makes a good data room. Obviously these weren't as sophisticated as ones who were trying to raise much larger amounts of money.
