A developer sells off a side project app to focus on their main startup. The conversation covers why maintaining multiple products gets harder as your primary business grows, and what it takes to let go of something you built.
Selling was part of the completion of the journey. It was at a point that I had a lot of going on in my life with my current startup that's enterprise as big company right now. It was getting really busy. The app came in the lockdown kind of period that everyone had some free time, picked up baking for a while. Then I tried to build the Microsoft. And yeah, at some point Shopify was, was doing some changes on the authentication and had to spend like a couple of days working on the app. And at some point I was like, okay, I need to sell this and move on and focus on my current startup.
Nice. That makes total sense. Well, congrats on the larger startup as well. And then it's always fun to have a side project or just build something. I can relate to that more than you know. But for those listening focused on one startup.
