A short YouTube interview excerpt (by Andrew Gazdecki) describing a startup's shift from a tokenized credit/one-off transactional model to a subscription billing model. The speaker argues subscriptions retain customers by enabling automatic rebilling and preventing customers from forgetting or lapsing, which helped grow and stabilize the business.

So what was the business model? Yeah, so initially it was a tokenized, like a credit system. But one of the things, like, again, a learning lesson was basically use subscription as soon as possible and do it. Because really, one thing I realized is when you have a customer, they're essentially wanting to do business with you. They've already greenlighted you, pre approved you, and they so they want to support you. So a lot of times, if you don't retain that customer through some kind of rebilling, they're just going to forget about you, or they're still wanting to use your support you, but they just forgot that they, you know, signed up for the service. So I think that that was really what helped kind of, you know, retain customers and really help grow the business is by going from a one off on a transactional basis to a subscription basis.
