This is a YouTube video titled "Why Passion and Trajectory Trump Experience in Building a Successful Team" containing a discussion focused on hiring philosophies, emphasizing the value of passion and growth trajectory over tenure and years of experience. The excerpt features a single speaker sharing insights on team building and talent evaluation, recorded in June 2024.

I have this saying. If you keep hiring and promoting people based on tenure versus trajectory, you will become the very thing you set out to disrupt. And that means, like, people with high trajectory question a lot. They tend to use their hands a lot. And I think you can stretch that in many cases. Post 10 million even, you know, and you got to find those people and equip them versus finding people with many, many years of experience. Sometimes passion and trajectory is more important than just having years of experience in the resume. I completely agree.
