Simon explains why alignment and responsiveness between buyers and sellers matter in acquisition deals. A bad partner will tank even a good deal, so clear plans during due diligence are essential to avoid failure.
You can't do a good deal with a bad person. So you and the buyer, you. You have to. You just have to get along. And I've seen so many deals, acquisitions just fall through because someone's not responsive or someone is, you know, like, you're just not on the same page in terms of what you're trying to accomplish. Simon, you had, like, a plan in place. What are we going to do when we go into due diligence? Just knowing that up front can tell you so much about the buyer. Like, do they. Because you don't want to sign an loi and then this person is kind of figuring it out, and that's. And then that letter of intent falls through. Then you got to go back to the buyers and say, like, this buyer. And you got to have a story. Exactly.
