My name is Lauren Berry. My placement is at Miami-Dade Innovation Authority, or MDIA, and I am a growth associate. I think my favorite thing about my placement is the breadth of what I do. I can go from looking at contracts in some of our expansion cities and seeing what language they're comfortable with. It could be helping plan an event. We just put one on. It could be doing market research, which this really excites me because there's never a day that I'm doing a monotonous task. We're a government-adjacent organization, and so I'm able to see what's going on in the public sector as well as the private sector and get to know the ins and outs of both and kind of be a translator through both of them. A lot of my other friends are going into organizations where, you know, they feel maybe a little lost, and even if you feel lost in your organization here, you have this community who's literally rallying around you, and their whole purpose is making this experience wonderful for you and being able to get you on a platform where you can leap off to a nonlinear career, and that has been so wonderful for me, and I think the whole Scholars community. My name is Lauren Berry, and I'm so proud to be a part of the Mission Generation.
