12.14.21 - The Ash Cash Show

In this episode of the Ash Cash Show, host Ash Exantus delivers a high‑energy, motivational broadcast that weaves together self‑publishing strategies, wealth mindset, and legacy building. He opens by announcing the show’s schedule and his intent to create a recurring series that answers frequent questions about publishing a book and turning it into a six‑figure income. Ash emphasizes that publishing a book is the easy part; the real work lies in positioning, consistency, and leveraging the book to generate multiple income streams. He cites industry data (only ~500 authors sell >10,000 copies annually) to illustrate the rarity of high‑volume success and shares his own experience of selling over 100,000 books. Throughout the show, Ash stresses the importance of daily consistency, treating success as a marathon, and investing in oneself rather than wasting time. He introduces concepts such as “owning the pond” versus merely “teaching to fish,” and frames wealth as a birthright rather than a grind. Pastor Brian Bullock contributes a segment on the power of a family name/brand, urging listeners to think beyond personal gain and focus on legacy. The episode also features a brief insertion from Mel Robbins on visualization and the reticular activating system, linking mental rehearsal to tangible success. Ash repeatedly calls listeners to take notes, visualize their goals, and commit to his mentorship program, positioning the program as a shortcut to the finish line. The broadcast concludes with standard show sign‑offs, gratitude to the live chat community, and reminders of the show’s online platforms.

Uh, make sure you go to theashcastshow.com, subscribe to the podcast. Go to ashcasttv.com, uh, subscribe to the YouTube channel. So I just want to say something real quick, right? Um, and, and, and I, and I had this idea, maybe I'll do it. Um, Orlando, salute, salute, top of the morning. Uh, Asia, salute. Get Regulated, salute. Um, I Am Nicole, what up, what up, what up. My guy Ramaya Trash, appreciate the badge love. Um, Texas is in the building. Um, I'm thinking about doing like a, a, a, a series or something like that. Blessings 3D, what up. Um, I'm thinking about doing a series because Uh, I post a lot about, um, about becoming a 6-figure author, right? Um, and you know, because I post a lot about it, I get a lot of like DMs and stuff. Um, peace and blessings, Sister Linda. Um, you know, I get, I get, I get a lot, I get a lot of like, like, uh, DMs. Um, I get a lot of DMs, I get a lot of questions, like one-off questions or whatever that, you know, you know, whatever. Um, the, the cases, um, about like how to, how to publish a book. Um, and, um, a lot, a lot of that stuff is like, is for me, because I've been doing it for such a long time, uh, a lot of that is like the easy stuff, you know what I'm saying? Like, like that's the easy part. The easy part is just getting the book published. It's not, um, I mean, there's a, there's millions Yo, yo, Martin, what's the, what's the, uh, what's the, what's the stat? My God, my guy Martin is a, is a, is a, is a publishing OG. If y'all know L. Martin Pratt— oh, my bad. If y'all know L. Martin Pratt, um, tap in with my guy. Uh, my guys are like a, you know, there's a, there's a stat, you know what I mean? Like, many people publish books, you know what I'm saying? But nobody ever do nothing with them, you know what I'm saying? Like, they don't really— like, a lot of people just got books, like, I'm an author, but never really Like, there's people who got books that you wouldn't even think got books, you know what I'm saying? Because that's not the— that's not the work. The work is not that. That's the easy part, um, getting it published, you know. Um, the important part is getting it published right. The important part is, uh, positioning yourself as you're getting it published. The important part is allowing yourself to increase— allowing the book to do what it— what it's supposed to do, you know what I'm saying? Um, you know what I'm saying? And, um, so I say all this to say I get a lot of questions about like publishing and all. I'm thinking, I'm thinking, I don't know if I'm gonna do this yet, uh, I'm thinking about doing like a, like a day, um, just so I can build my YouTube up as well, but then I can stop answering like the same questions over and over. I'm thinking about doing a day where I just give like, you know, self-publishing tips or whatever. Um, so that way, you know what I'm saying, like, like, and, and maybe interview other authors and stuff like that just to kind of just talk about that process. And, and hopefully, you know, people will, will understand the, the full process. Like, it's not— there's just one and done, let me just hurry up and do this, let me just get it out, um, and get it done. I get it, you know what I'm saying? But, um, so, so that— so I'm answering that question without answering that question. It's like I've been saying, I've been saying the same thing over and over. I'm pretty sure I got a live I'm pretty sure I got a live, um, that talks about how to publish a book. Um, I did a, um, you know, I did a, uh, I did a, um, like a, a carousel that gave you the 5 tips that I use. Like, I'm not holding nothing back. Um, and but, but, but, but, but then, but then, um, you can't You can't expect— like, I'm not like—
like, I—
like, when I—
the reason—
so here's the deal. So 2 things, right? When I tell— when I tell people to buy my program, um, it's just so that I don't have to keep saying the same things over and over, to be 100% honest with you. Um, but then the sec— the second piece of that is, um, everything I've done and everything I've learned, I learned that over 12 years. You know what I'm saying? So it's not like, you know, it's not like this, um, it's not like it's new information that I just picked up yesterday, you know what I'm saying? Like, this is, this is information that I, you know, learned over 12 years, you know what I'm saying? Um, and with that information, right, with that information that I learned, um, you know, I'm kind of just helping you get to the finish line faster. Um, I'm helping you build your brand, honestly, you know what I'm saying? Like, it's not even about Like, I don't know, like people just, you know, want, you know, want the badge. Like, y'all, yo, there we go. Martin says average only 500 authors cross over 10,000 copies sold, right, a year. So think about this, hundreds of thousands of books are released every year, right? And there's a, there's an average of 500 authors that cross over that 10,000 copies sold. Right, I appreciate you, Martin. Thank you for that. Um, I like series interviews other, uh, um, I like a series interview other successful authors. Yeah, yeah, I think I'm gonna do that, Mark, because I, because I want to be able to like get a game out. So I think, I think that's what I'm gonna do. Um, yeah, I think I'm gonna do that. Um, but I, but I say, I say that, right, I say that to say is that, um I believe, I believe me personally, just doing this 12 years, um, just, just, just, uh, just selling over 100,000 books, you know what I'm saying? Um, you know, you know, I, you know, I, I fall into that. I'm not average, but I fall into that average, you know what I'm saying? I fall, I fall into the one, the one of 500, you know what I'm saying? I'm not average, far from average, but I fall into that, you know what I mean? Um, Facts.
Yeah, yeah.
Salute, salute the Quan, man. Yeah, that's what I gotta do. I gotta start doing that. I got— yeah, I think that's what I'm gonna do. Um, but when I tell— when I say— when I say like, you know, join my program or whatever the case may be, um, you know, it's really to— to, um, to help you get to the finish line, you know what I'm saying? Um, you know, and, uh, bring it, uh, brand and bags. I'm learning the lingo and struggle with reaching people. Yeah, I think, you know, you know, and so I say, when I say, you know, purchase my program, um, again, it's just so that, you know what I mean, like, like you could get the full step, you know what I'm saying? You get the full step to how to, you know, you know, publish a book and make, and, and, and, and make it make sense for you. Like, um, I honestly don't believe, right, and I told the story before, but I honestly don't believe I would have been Had I not published the book, nobody probably know who Ash Cash is, right? Every opportunity that I've ever got— not every, but most opportunities that I've gotten came from me being a published author. And then it just continued to trickle down, trickle down, trickle down. In every space it helps, right? And so when social media wasn't really popping like that, and, you know, blogs and magazines and all that stuff was it, I was, I was in the fold because of my book. When social media started, you know what I'm saying? Like, you know, I was getting interviewed because of my book. You know, and people don't understand that.
I think people think that they like people be trying to cheat, right?
Like people really think that it's just simply like, oh, I'm an author and that's it. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, look, the Black community says, uh, your strategy behind establishing your own ISBN number, um, is so simple but powerful. Yeah, like, like, um, you know, like, like, it's a, it's a whole strategy to this though, you know what I'm saying? Like, it's a whole strategy, you know what I'm saying? It's a whole strategy to how you do it. So I just want— I only said that because somebody asked me the question, um, and you're doing a YouTube Morning, um, Blessing Show. You were one of the first to do Morning Show back in 2010.
That's a fact though, Martin. But a lot of people don't know that, you know what I'm saying?
Salute, salute to my guy Martin Pratt. So fast, fast out to Martin because Martin, yo Martin, I'm telling you, OG, you know what I'm saying? So he look, he look, he look 30, but he OG, you know what I'm saying? Salute to my guy. Um, but L. Martin Pratt, man, you know, you know, you know the vibes, you know what I'm saying? Um, and, and that, and that's why I, you know, that's why I'm like, you know, all praises due to God Because I feel like, like I said, like I like I've been you know I've been I've been here I've been here through every era you know what I'm saying it's not it's not about eras it's not about me you know what I'm saying it's really it's really just about um you know it's really just about staying focused and knowing what it takes to be successful um you know success success doesn't come from from uh I'm sorry right I'm sorry But not sorry. Success don't come from being on sometimes, you know what I'm saying? That don't— that's not how success happens.
Success come from consistency. You can't— you can't— you can't be— look, let me tell you something. You can't be on—
so you can't be sometimes on, you know what I'm saying?
Like, like, like, you, you can't—
you can't be on sometimes and off sometimes and then, and then, and then, and then wonder why you don't have success.
Right?
You can't do that. Like, there's a lot of people right now that believe that if they show, they show energy, a lot of energy towards this thing that they want, you know, at one time, that everything is just gonna happen. No, you cannot. You cannot. You cannot be successful Just doing it one time. Success and maintaining success is a long-term deal. It's a life— it's a lifestyle, right? Success is a lifestyle. Success is not this thing you— it's not one and done, right? It's not one and done. It is a lifestyle. If you really want to be— look, y'all don't understand. If you really want to be successful, Then be successful. I hope y'all understood that. If you really want to be successful, then be successful. You can't do success. You can't do success, right? Like, like, like you cannot do success. Yo, I'm, I'm gonna do success. You cannot do success. You can only be success.
Right?
You're gonna be success. Yo, yo, I'm being successful, right? And so with your being, you are being, which means success is you. Success is who you are. Success is your habits. Success is what you do every single day, not what you do once in a while. Not what you do once in a while. Not, not, not what, what you do when you inspired. Oh, I'm inspired. So I'm gonna do success. Oh, I'm I'm inspired today. That's not success. That's not success.
That's a fad, right?
That's that's not success. That's that's a sprint, right? That's not that's not success. That's a sprint. Ha ha ha ha! Finish line stop. That's a sprint. Hey, success. Success is a marathon, right? Success is you pace. Yo, let me pace myself.
You know what I mean?
Oh, let me pace myself. Let me pace myself. I, y'all, I know, I know who need to hear this today. Y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all wanna, y'all wanna be sometimes consistent. You want to be consistent sometimes. You want to show up sometimes, but you want, you want every time, you want every time benefits. You know what I'm saying? Hey yo, I'll show you a text. Yo yo yo yo yo yo I I sent the videos to my to my to my brother Storm at at at three a.m. Yo three a.m. Right three a.m. Because I guess what I was working. I was up three a.m. working. You know why? Because success is consistent. I can't, I can't be like, nah, I'm tired, right? I can't be like, nah, I'm tired when, when we, when we got, when we got things we got to work on. We got commitments we made.
So I can't be like, nah, I'm tired, I can't do that. Nah, I gotta get, I gotta get it done. The time, I mean, clock is ticking.
And so I took a quick nap real quick. All right, let me go take a little quick nap.
You know what I'm saying?
I took it, took a quick nap. I took a 4-hour nap. I went out, I went to bed like around 9, you know what I mean? Took a, took a nap, woke up at 1 in the morning and got the, and got to work, you know what I'm saying?
Got to work.
3, 3 AM, 4 AM, I'm up working, working, working. Because it's consistency, I promise you. Ain't nobody give me nothing, yo. That's on everything. You ask them, ask them. Anybody you think done something for me, I promise you, we either— it's, it's reciprocal, or, or I've done more. Anybody that you think done something for me, it's either reciprocal, we did stuff for each other, or I did more. Ain't nobody done nothing for me. Ain't nobody out here that I could be like, yo, this person—
nope, that's not— that ain't happening.
I put in work whether y'all saw it behind the scenes or not. I put in work, you know what I'm saying? I put in work. Ain't nobody gave me nothing. Ain't nobody gave me nothing. What up, my guy?
Fire Flame is in the building, you know what I'm saying?
Ain't nobody gave me nothing. And so, and so when you start, when you start seeing what, what, what, what, uh, what, what, uh, Pastor Bullock said, when, when you, when you start, when you start seeing, when you start seeing the harvest, the harvest don't shock a farmer, you know what I'm saying?
The har—
the harvest don't shock a farmer, you know what I'm saying? The harvest don't shock a farmer. Because I sow seeds, you know what I'm saying? I sow seeds. Like, I'm not— y'all, I promise you, I'm not, I'm not, I'm never surprised. All praise is due to the Most High God. But faith without works is dead, you know what I'm saying? And so, and so when y'all, when y'all see the blessings, I— cool, congrats. Okay, thank you. But nah. You, you don't, you don't see the— you like, y'all don't even see like my— like I got bags under my eyes and it's not even— not bags, but my, my eyes heavy, right? And I'm not going back to sleep though, you know what I'm saying?
Because I still got work to do, you know what I'm saying?
What, what they say, don't, don't, don't, uh, don't give up, uh, right? Don't give up when you tired. Don't stop when you tired, right? Don't stop when you tired. Stop when you, when you done.
A lot of y'all want to stop when it's done. You know what I'm saying? A lot of y'all want to stop when it's done.
Hold on.
Let's let's let's do this.
Wait.
Let's let's let's do this because I because I because I need I need y'all to I need y'all to understand this, right?
I need y'all to understand this.
I need I need I need you and it's not about me. It's about my legacy. Right, and so, and so look, I need, I need y'all, I need y'all to focus up. And, and please look, please get, get from around me if you're not consistent. I said what I said. Get from around me if you're not consistent. I need consistency, right? It's not, it's not just sometimes, right? It's not just sometimes. Yo, we got we we got legacies to build, right? Our kids, our kids, our kids are not gonna grind this hard because they have to.
They gonna grind this hard because because they they they want to keep up with.
Here's another thing I'm gonna say real quick, right?
Because this is this is this is something that um you know you know you know first lady and I were talking about last night actually.
Right? Um, and it's not a flex, but it feel good not to grind for money.
You know what I'm saying?
It feel good not to grind for money. Hey yo, I got, I got somebody on, in, on my line right now who want to give me $25K for me to mentor them, who want to give me like, yo, I want you to be my mentor, I got the money, I'm cool. Not all money is good money. I can say no to people. I can say no. Like, yo, you know what? I'm cool because you a headache. You a headache. You not, you not, you not finna, you not, you not finna. Look, I've been down south too long. You not finna, you not finna stress me out. You know what I'm saying? You not finna stress me out. And so I already see the headache. I'm cool. You could keep that. Don't, nope, don't come around me. Keep that. Your money no good here.
Right?
And so, and so it feel good. It feel good to not have to grind for money.
You know what I'm saying?
You're the grind now is really yo yo first lady and I was really like yo this is like a game almost right?
It's oh it's it's it's it's almost like a game. It's almost like um you know.
You you you put out a goal.
It's like it's like it's like it's like playing a video game for sure. Like you know I mean it's like playing a video game when you play out the video game.
There's no reward after the video game, but what what's the only reward of the video game is that you pass the you pass the board, right? You pass the board, and then once you pass the board, the next reward is to pass the next board, right?
And so.
the journey that, that, that we're on right now is really feel like a game. It's really just to see what we can do with this project, you know what I'm saying? It's, it's really just to see what we could do with this project, right? And then now the game becomes, yo, how many other people can you bless, right? Like honestly, yo, I promise you, uh, anybody in my circle 2022, my goal, personal goal, is that anybody that's in my circle has to, has to make 6 figures or more. Like, like if, if, if I say that you part of my team and that, and that you rock with me, you got, you have to be able to make 6 figures or more, and I'll show you how to do that.
Right.
Like, like, I, I can't be around non-abundant energy. And so, and so my goal— so now the goal is to work hard to be able to help other people and, and bless other people, you know what I'm saying? But not bless other— see, and when I say bless other people, let me just be clear. When I say bless other people, I'm not giving nobody nothing.
You know what I'm saying?
I'm not giving nobody nothing because that's not blessing people. That's a bar though, too. A lot of y'all think— a lot of y'all so, so focused on— oh, that's a bar. Watch this, watch this, watch this bar. A lot of y'all think when people say they've been blessed, a lot of y'all think given, right? Yo, I'mma bless this person And so I gave this person something. That ain't no blessing. Giving is not a blessing. God didn't give you nothing, right? Abundance is your birthright, but faith without works is dead, right? God wants you to multiply. God, God ain't— God ain't give you what he gave you so you could be— because you could be satisfied and sit and sit and sit and sit down. That wasn't the blessing. God said, yo, be fruitful and multiply, right? So God, so God gave you the seed so the seed could grow. That the, the growth, the planting of the seed, the watering of the seed, the growing of the seed, that's the blessing. And so if, so if God, if God gave you a, a tree, right, that that you ain't had to do nothing to, then God didn't really bless you. God didn't really bless you. And so a lot of times when people think, yo, I'mma, I'mma bless others, they bless others with things, and then the thing runs out and it dies. The thing runs out and it dies. How is that a blessing? How, how do, how do, how do I, how do I, why do I run up to somebody give them $10 and say I just blessed them. What, I blessed them with a meal for the day and then tomorrow they hungry again, right? Hey, I saw this quote that said— that's, I think, Be Good Financials said this quote that said, yo, you feed a person, right? That you did this famous quote that people like, yo, you feed a man for a fit— you feed a man a fish, you feed a person a fish, they eat for a day. You teach them how to fish, they eat forever. That's wrong, because what if they don't own the pond? What if they don't own the pond? Where they going fishing at? You gave them a fish, they eat for a day, right? You taught them how to fish.
You taught them how to fish, but now they know how to fish, but they ain't got no—
you don't got no pond. They got nowhere to fish. So I ain't teaching you how to fish. I'm teaching you how to own the pond, because now when you own the pond, you can hire somebody else to fish for you. You could, you could, you could, you could, you could, you could give admission to somebody else to fish for you.
Chill, you're not ready today. You're not ready.
You got to live for legacy.
You are now tapped in and tuned in.
Mind writers and Your last name is bigger than your first name. I don't care how you got your name, but you need to be living for your last name. Your first name is about you, but your last name is about us.
You need to be living for your last name.
McDonald's is a last name. Abercrombie& Fitch, last name. Armani is a last name. Baskin-Robbins is the last name. Chrysler is the last name. Fisher-Price, Gucci, Hennessy, Harley-Davidson, Hilton, Honda, Kohl's, Kraft Foods, Lowe's Movie Theater. Marriott is the last name. Maybach is the last name. Nordstrom is the last name. Pillsbury is a last name. Porsche is a last name. Procter& Gamble, 2 last names. Rolls-Royce, Charles Rolls, Henry Royce, last names. Turner Broadcast System, Ted Turner, last name. Versace, last name. Wells Fargo, Henry Wells, William Fargo, last name. Walgreens, last name. Wrigley's, last name. Welch's grape juice, last name.
Here you are. You think you're buying a product. You are not buying a product, you buying a name. You think you're wearing a product. Hey, look at this product. No, you're saying look at this family. And what you don't know is why you making every family rich, you making yourself broke. So you don't went to one family called Wells Fargo and got $200,000 so you can go to another family called Rolls-Royce so you can give them money to get yourself a car so you can go back to the hood and see the Joneses And say, "Look at what I got." Meanwhile, Wells Fargo—that family's sitting up being rich, and Harley-Davidsons and Rolls-Royces are being rich, and the Joneses are sitting there holding up people's stuff, saying, "Look at what we did," and we broke. Versace, Versace, Versace. Be quiet! You're saying somebody's family. That's a—that's a name. That is not a product. It is not a bag. Gucci, Gucci, Gucci, Gucci. Yep, you broke. And Gucci is Gucci. They good, they Gucci. What if I told you that your blessing is attached to your name? That part of the reason why you're not wealthy yet is because you keep trying to make Yolanda wealthy. You keep trying to make Tasha wealthy. What if you made Johnson wealthy? What if you started thinking about your kids? What if you started thinking about your legacy? What if God started dropping Canaan and opening up windows of heaven? Because now you're not just thinking about you, You're thinking kingdom legacy. There's power in your name, power in your name. I'm here to let you know you are a curse breaker. You are not just getting married, you breaking a curse. You are not just graduating from college, you breaking a curse. You are not just getting out of high school, you breaking a curse. You breaking a curse. You are not just saved, you breaking a curse, and everybody around you is about to be blessed because of what God getting ready to do in your life. I don't know what my name meant before I got here, but I know what it's gonna mean before I leave. You got a legacy.
You got a legacy, and it's time to pass it on.
Everybody in this room is gonna leave a legacy. The question is, are you going to be intentional?
Are you going to be intentional?
Are you actually going to be intentional, or are you just going to let anything be passed down, anything be given to others on your behalf?
Don't let it be so.
The most powerful things in the world take time. Legacy takes time. Harvest don't shock a farmer.
Harvest don't shock a farmer.
Harvest don't shock a farmer. When a, when a farmer sees harvest, it's like, yep, because you sow seed, you sow seed, you sow seed. Before you know it, you just stumble on a blessing, and then you walk into another blessing, and then you walk into another blessing. And everybody else is saying you're lucky. Everybody else is saying, well, I can't believe that happened to you. Not the farmer. The farmer's saying, I'm not lucky. I know why this happened to me. It's because in December I walked into some blessings, because in January I was sowing some seeds.
I was sowing some seeds when y'all was playing around. I was sowing some seeds when y'all was arguing.
I was sowing seed when y'all was up in court. I was sowing seed. So don't get mad now because I'm bumping into blessing.
If y'all was playing around, I was sowing. When y'all was playing around, I was sowing seed. When y'all was arguing, I was. When y'all was playing around, I was sowing seed. When y'all was playing around, I was sowing seed. When y'all was playing around, I was sowing seed. Playing around, I was so. When y'all was playing around, I was sowing seed. When I was playing around, I was sowing seed. I was playing around, I was sowing seed. When y'all was playing around, I was sowing seed. When y'all was playing around, I was sowing seed.
When y'all was playing around, I was sowing seed. When y'all was arguing, I was sowing seed. When y'all was up in court, I was sowing seed. So don't get mad now, 'cause I'm bumping into blessings everywhere I go. It is not an accident. I planned for this thing. Not every harvest has to surprise you. There's some harvest you can say, yep, I sowed that and I expected it and I planned for this.
Wait, hold on. Hold on, let me tag— let me— because y'all asking. Hold on, let me, let me, let me tag— let me tag Pastor Brian Bullock real quick so y'all can show him some love. Uh, Brian M. Bullock. Wait, hold on, make sure I tag— I tag Pastor Brian. Brian M. Bullock is in the building, so we gonna tag him. We gonna do that one more time because I don't think y'all heard me.
I don't think y'all heard, right? Um, I, I need—
look, I need y'all, right? Uh, this speaks about what I have to dumb in my chat. Look, I need y'all. Look, I need y'all. We got 18 days, right, left for 2021.
Honestly, I'm gonna be honest, let me stop saying that.
I'm gonna stop saying that. You got zero days left in 2021. Let me stop saying you got 18 days. You don't have no days left in 2021.
Because if you are not operating in 2022, then you are behind. You know what I'm saying? You are behind. If you have— if you're not operating in this in, in next year, right? Meaning that you— I want you to seize every single day.
I need you to leave it all on the table.
I need you to leave it all on the table. Seize every single day. Right. But as you seize the day, you, you, you know what I'm saying? Like, you gotta have vision though, right? Go— going day by day don't mean there's no vision, right? He, he with— without vision shall perish, right? So if you don't have no vision, you, you, you gonna die. You need, you need that. And, and, and whether it's a physical death Or mental death, you're gonna die without vision.
You're dead without that, without vision. You know what I'm saying? I appreciate you. You know what I'm saying? Abundance is your birthright. If you know, you know.
You know what I'm saying? Conquer the day. But I need you to know what you're doing for. Let's go right back. You got to live. Let's go one more time. Legacy. Let's go one more time. Let's go one more time. Mine writers.
One more time.
So, so for the people in the back who didn't hear, I need you to sow seeds, y'all. Consistency is what I'm asking.
Your last name is bigger than your first name.
Bigger than your first name.
I don't care how you got your name, but you need to be living for your last name.
Yep.
Your first name is about you.
Yep.
But your last name is about us.
You need to be living for your last name.
McDonald's is a last name. Abercrombie and Fitch, last name. Armani is a last name. Baskin-Robbins is a last name. Chrysler is a last name. Fisher-Price, Gucci, Hennessy, Harley-Davidson, Hilton, Honda, Kohl's, Kraft Foods, Lowe's Movie Theater. Marriott is the last name. Maybach is the last name. Nordstrom is the last name. Pillsbury is the last name. Porsche is the last name. Procter and Gamble, 2 last names. Rolls-Royce, Royce. Charles Rolls, Henry Royce, last names. Turner Broadcast System, Ted Turner, last name. Versace, last name. Wells Fargo, Henry Wells, William Fargo, last name. Walgreens, last name. Wrigley's, last name.
Welch's grape juice, last name. Here you are, you think you're buying a product. You are not buying a product, you're buying a name.
Buying a name.
You think you're wearing a product. Hey, look at this product. No, you're saying look at this family. And what you don't know is while you making every family rich, you making yourself broke. So you don't went to one family called Wells Fargo and got $200,000 so you can go to another family called Rolls-Royce so you can give them money to get yourself a car so you can go back to the hood and see the Joneses and say, look at what I got. Meanwhile, Wells Fargo, that family sitting up being rich, and Harley-Davidsons and Rolls-Royces are being rich, and the Joneses are sitting there holding up people's Stop saying, "Look at what we get and we broke." Versace, Versace, Versace.
Yeah, be quiet.
You're saying somebody's family. That's a that's a name. That is not a product. It is not a bag. Gucci, Gucci. Yeah, Gucci. Yep, you broke. And Gucci is Gucci. They good. They Gucci. What if I told you that your blessing is attached to your name? That part of the reason why you're not wealthy yet is because you keep trying to make Yolanda wealthy. You keep trying to make Tasha wealthy. What if you made Johnson's wealthy? What if you started thinking about your kids? What if you started thinking about your legacy? What if God started dropping Canaan and opening up windows of heaven? Because now you're not just thinking about you; you're thinking kingdom, legacy. There's power in your name. Power in your name. I'm here to let you know you are a curse breaker. You are not just getting married, you breaking a curse. You are not just graduating from college, you breaking a curse. You are not just getting out of high school, you breaking a curse. You are not just saved, you breaking a curse. And everybody around you is about to be blessed because of what God's getting ready to do. I don't know what my name meant before I got here, but I know what it's gonna mean before I leave.
Yeah, you got a legacy.
You got a legacy, and it's time to pass it on. Everybody in this room is gonna leave a legacy. The question is, are you going to be intentional about the legacy you'll leave? Are you actually going to be intentional, or are you just going to let anything be passed down?
Anything be given to others on your behalf, don't let it be short.
The most powerful things in the world take time. Legacy takes time. Harvest don't shock a farmer. Harvest don't shock a farmer. When a, when a farmer sees harvest, it's like, yep, because you sow seed, you sow seed, you sow seed. Before you know it, you just stumble on a blessing. And then you walk into another blessing, and then you walk into another blessing, and everybody else is saying you're lucky. Everybody else is saying, well, I can't believe that happened to you. Not the farmer. The farmer's saying, I'm not lucky. I know why this happened to me. It's because in December I walked into some blessings, because in January I was sowing some seeds. I was sowing some seeds, y'all.
When y'all was playing around, I was sowing seed. When y'all was arguing, I was sowing seed. When y'all was up in court, when y'all was playing around, I was sowing seed. When y'all was playing around, I was so deceived. When y'all was playing around, I was so deceived. Playing around, I was so deceived. Y'all was playing around, I was so deceived. I was playing around, I was so deceived. When y'all was playing around, I was so deceived. When y'all was playing around, I was so deceived. When y'all was arguing, when y'all was playing around, I was so deceived. When y'all was playing around, I was so deceived. When y'all was playing around, I was so deceived. When y'all was playing around, I was so deceived. When you was playing around, I was so deceived. When y'all was playing around, I was When y'all was playing around, I was sowing seed. When y'all was playing around, I was sowing seed.
Y'all get it yet? Y'all get it? Sow seeds!
When y'all was playing around, I was sowing seed. When y'all was playing around, I was sowing seed. When y'all was playing around, I was sowing seed. When y'all was playing around, I was sowing seed. When y'all was arguing, I was sowing seed.
When y'all was up in court, I was sowing seed. So don't get mad now because I'm bumping into blessing everywhere I go. It is not an accident. I planned for this day.
I planned for this day.
Not every harvest has to surprise you. There's some harvest you can say, yep, I sowed that and I expected it and I planned for this.
I planned for this.
Um, so here, so here's what I'm gonna say.
Look, so I'm like, I'm, I'm on my bag today. Listen, because I, because I, I tell you, when, when, when you got limited, limited sleep, right? When you got limited sleep, um, I ain't got time to play, you know what I'm saying? So I'm, so I'm So I'm being, I'm being, I'm being 100% honest. I'm saying I ain't got time to play, right? Um, and so I got, I got a text, I got a text just now, uh, in my community number, you know what I'm saying? Hopefully, I mean, if you on here, then, then, then it's cool. Um, you know, um, I got a text, um, that said it is, is the only way, is the only way to work with me is to, is to buy my program. Right? And the answer is yes, right? The answer is yes. And the reason why the answer is yes, um, is because I, I refuse to invest something that I'll never get back on, on, on, on people that don't invest in themselves, right? Um, and so, you know, you know, um Man, I'm I'm blessed. You know what I'm saying? Like God has blessed me in a way that I've I have multiple streams of income, and so because I have multiple streams of income, um, I'm not I'm never pressed on one way to get you know I mean to get money because abundance is my birthright. If you you know what I'm saying? If you if you read if you read the back, abundance is my birthright. And what I realized what I realized is that. Those who are willing to waste their time don't have no problem wasting yours. I'm gonna say that again. Those who are willing to waste their time don't have no problem wasting yours. They gonna, they gonna tell you a, a song and a dance why you should work with them, why they the best, and all that stuff, and they not willing to invest in themselves. And so they willing to waste their time They willing to to to waste their time on so many different levels. So what makes you think they're not gonna waste your time?
The unfortunately, and it's so crazy because time is more valuable than money, right? Time is more valuable than money. Yo, people, people, yo, I I will I will give you a hundred dollars so you could get out my face than to keep giving you my time. Because, because, because if, if that $100 makes you go, then I ain't got to waste time talking to you all the time, right? So I'll pay you to get my time back because time is more valuable than money. But people who don't know that, they, they respect it the other way, right? People who don't know that respect it the other way. They respect money more than they respect time. And so, and so, and so, and so the true wealth is knowing like, yo, are you willing to invest in yourself?
Because if you're not willing to invest in yourself, yo, you're not, you're not gonna, you're not gonna, um, you're not gonna do what I tell you to do anyway. And now I just, now I just wasted time that I could be giving somebody else, you know what I'm saying, who's actually gonna execute on it. You know what I'm saying? Like, like, um, man, you know what I'm saying?
Like I said, you know, fat, fat shout out to my brother Julian Gordon, right?
JG don't waste time. My guy don't waste time. My guy don't waste no time. He hired me as a, as a, as a book coach. We—
he got, he, he got every dollar out. It wasn't even about that. He, he's an executor. He executed so fast. He executed. Everything was done.
Got to the bag. We're gonna keep. We're gonna keep getting to the bag because what?
Because we because we we we we we we cherish our time.
You know what I'm saying? You know, and so the answer is yes. Answer is yes. I'm not going to invest in nobody who's not willing to invest in themselves. You know what I'm saying?
I'm not doing that.
I'm not doing that.
And so if you a random person telling me, yo, I wanna, I wanna, uh, I wanna write a book, well, prove it. You ain't just come up with this book.
You've been wanting to write a book.
So are you willing to invest in yourself?
You know what I'm saying? Are you willing? And so Investing in yourself is investing in your vision.
And so I, I, I need y'all to focus on your vision, right?
I need you to focus on your vision.
I, I see the end, right? I, I see what the goal is.
I see it already.
I visualized it.
Uh, I've lived it already. Yo, it's so crazy.
I told y'all this before, but, but for, for the— no, for those who are new, um, I, I've already lived most of my visions in my head already.
So before, before I even, um, lived it in real life, I've, I've, I've lived it.
I've seen the vision, you know what I'm saying? Like, I've seen the vision, I lived the vision, I've imagined the vision, um, I've seen it already.
So that way, when it, when it actually happens in real life, right, when it happens in real life, I'm not, I'm not shocked. I'm not afraid of it. I'm not running from it.
It's not too good to be true. It's almost like, yeah, yes, finally.
Because I replayed this vision in my head over and over again that when it actually happens, it becomes déjà vu.
And so I need y'all to play that vision. I need y'all to understand this vision. Take notes, take notes real quick.
If you know, you know. Take notes real quick.
You are now listening to mindrightradio.com, the only place to get inspiration and motivation all day, every day. If you expect to achieve your goals, if you expect to If you expect to have your dreams come true, what I'm about to explain to you is mission critical. You must become a master at visualization. For those of you that are like, what the heck is she talking about? I did not sign up for some sort of meditation, woo-woo spiritual thing here. Don't worry, this is Mel Robbins. There's always science and research involved. In everything that I talk about. So visualization is an extraordinarily powerful skill. You may have heard of the law of attraction. You may have heard of the word visualization. You may have heard of the word manifesting. I call it seeing signs. Your brain has a system in it. Here's the technical term. It's The reticular activating system. It is a network of neurons all up in here. And what is the job of the reticular activating system? It is a filter system. It's basically a system that allows certain information in your brain and it blocks out other information. And guess Who programmed that filter? You did, and so did the people from your past. And so if you constantly feel like you're unlovable, guess what? Your reticular activating system is going through the day and it is going to point out every single piece of evidence that confirms that negative belief that you have. If you think that people don't like your work, the reticular activating system, the filter, is literally going to be looking for evidence to confirm that belief all day long. This is one of the reasons why we have such a problem with politics in this country. This is why there's something called a confirmation bias. Confirmation bias means your mind loves to read things that you agree with. Because reading things that you agree with confirms your filter. Why do we have a reticular activating system? There's a really important reason why you have this. The reason why is if your brain let in everything— have you ever looked at a Facebook page? Have you noticed how many words are on a standard Facebook page? and the ad over here and the ad over here and the ad over here and the ad and the zoo seat right here and the stuff up here and all this over here. If your brain took in everything at equal value, your head would literally explode off your shoulders. Your brain would melt down. And so the reticular activating system protects your brain by filtering information and only letting in stuff that it agrees with. So that's the scientific Reason and mandate for why you got to get busy reprogramming that thing. Now we're going to talk about how you use visualization in order to start to reprogram the reticular activating system in your brain so that your brain starts to spot opportunity, your brain starts to spot evidence that things are working out, your brain starts to spot coincidences so you can Build momentum, and it begins with visualization. So as you take your goals, I want you to go to each one and I want you to do a visualization exercise. And here's how you're going to do it based on science, because there's a particular way you have to do this based on science. Okay, it's a 2-step method. If your goal is to improve your self-worth, I want you to visualize What your life looks like and how you're going to feel about yourself when your self-worth has improved. There's 2 things that you have to do when it comes to visualization. You have to close your eyes. Truly, I know it sounds stupid, but I want you to close your eyes.
Mm-hmm.
And I want you to, in your mind, have a specific picture Of what it looks like in your life when your self-worth has improved. You're going to see yourself speaking up at work. You're going to see yourself talking more about your business. You're going to see yourself leaving bad relationships. You're going to see yourself defining boundaries. You're going to see yourself going to the gym. You're going to see yourself, uh, taking care of yourself. And when you start To visualize the image of that, I want you to consciously— this is step 2— consciously think of the positive emotions that you're going to feel. I'm gonna feel happy. I'm gonna feel proud. I'm gonna stand taller. I'm going to be so grateful that I made this change. Marrying the, the specific picture— oh, there I am, there I am, I'm, I'm at work and I'm Raising my hand. Amazing. I'm sharing my idea. There I am. I'm getting a promotion. There I am asking for a raise. There I am. I've just signed up another customer to my business. There I am. I've gone back to school. I feel so good about myself. When you do that, here's what's actually happening in your brain. This is the cool science part. You are training your brain to have a totally different filter. You see, your brain, my brain, it doesn't know the difference between something that actually happened to you, like the F you got on your test in 10th grade, and the things you imagine that are happening to you. Let me say that again. Your brain doesn't know the difference between the bad things that actually happen to you The real memories that you have and an imagined memory that you're creating. Your brain will experience you visualizing going to the gym, you visualizing how happy you feel when you do, you visualizing asking for that raise and getting it, how proud you're going to feel. Your brain, when you visualize in the way that I'm teaching you to, it encodes it as a real memory, and that's important. Because when you encode it as a real memory, it changes the filter system, that reticular activating system. And here's what we know based on research: the more you visualize things, number one, the greater your confidence is going to be, the greater security you're going to have about it. And here's the really cool thing: the more you do this with your goals, you wake up every day and you just visualize Right, it takes 30 freaking seconds, for crying out loud. You visualize having a great day at school. You visualize curing your panic and how proud you're going to be. What studies suggest and have proven is that simply visualizing yourself doing things actually develops the skill and helps you improve the skills, just as if you were actually doing it. And so there's proof based on research that visualization helps you build skills. And then finally, the other thing that's really important about this is that the more that you do this, what we know based on research is that the reason why you start to believe what you think is because you are reprogramming your brain. You are changing the network of neurons that act as a filter. And so the more that you actually believe in yourself and you start thinking and visualizing yourself speaking up, the more confident you're going to become, the more skills that you're building.
Yeah, Mel Robbins.
Mel Robbins going to do it. And then instead of looking for opportunities when you're sitting in a meeting to not speak up, you're going to just speak up because you're going to have changed the filter. You're going to look for Yes, it's Mel Robbins.
Mel Robbins.
So incredibly important. And so day 1, I want you to go through all the goals that you set, and I want you every single day throughout the next 30 days, you are going to spend 30 seconds. Your dreams deserve 30 seconds. 30 seconds. You're going to close your eyes and you're going to visualize what does it look Like in your life when you have achieved your monetary goals this year? How does it feel to go to the bank and see that balance? How does it feel to be able to write that check and take your kids to Disney World on money that you made? How does it—
Word, My Right Radio. I know who listen to My Right Radio who don't—
Down payment for the house you've always dreamt of? How does it feel to be able to have saved enough money so you can quit the job that you hate.
I love that.
Business, because you have achieved your goals. It feels darn good. That's how it feels. And I want you to just savor that, because what you're doing when you visualize is you're reprogramming your reticular activating system, that system of neurons, that network that acts like a filter in your brain so that it's spotting opportunity, so that it is helping How often you see evidence that you are confident, that you are capable, that you can do this instead of all the garbage you think right now. Inspiration and motivation 25/8. That's all the time. More than humanly possible. Elevation on another level.
