9.30.21 - The Ash Cash Show

In this episode of the Ash Cash Show, host Ash Exantus, joined by guests Gary Vaynerchuk, Will Smith, and archival clips from Earl Nightingale, delivers a high‑energy motivational broadcast centered on the power of decisive action. The conversation repeatedly emphasizes that having a "Plan B" is an excuse that undermines success, and introduces the ACT acronym (Action Changes Things) as a practical framework. Guests echo the theme: Will Smith stresses belief and delusional confidence; Gary Vee stresses loving loss, ignoring others' opinions, and using adversity as advantage; Earl Nightingale’s classic lines about attitude and belief are woven throughout. The episode also explores the role of attitude, gratitude, and hustle in achieving lasting success, offering concrete daily challenges (30‑day gratitude practice, 90‑day decision‑making sprint) and promoting upcoming shows and coaching programs. The overall narrative moves from defining the problem (indecision, plan B) → presenting a mindset shift (belief, attitude, ACT) → urging immediate action and sustained habit formation.

What are you gonna decide to do? What are you gonna decide to do? Are you gonna decide, right? Are you gonna decide to live your best life, or are you going to allow yourself to just be mediocre, right? Like what what decisions you just got to decide. Right? What decisions are you gonna make? Are you are you gonna make? Are you gonna make excuses? Right? Are you gonna make excuses, or are you gonna are you gonna go? Right? And the thing for me is I've I've I've I've never I've never really I've never really had a plan B because a plan B is an excuse. Right? A plan B is just to tell yourself you know why. You have it like you already counting yourself out, you're already telling yourself that it might not be possible that you reach your dreams. And so, when you have these plan Bs, when you tell yourself it might not be possible, what you're really telling yourself is that you don't think you can do it, you counting yourself out before it starts. And so, immediately, right, immediately, I need you to decide. I need you to make a decision. I need you to understand that if you really want to be great, then just be great, right? If you really want to be great, just be great. If you really want to accomplish everything that you say you want to accomplish, then just accomplish it. Just move in. Just be that person. You know what I'm saying?
I believe that I can create whatever I want to create.
First step before anybody else in the world believes it is you have to believe it.
You have to believe it though.
There's no reason to have a plan B.
There's no reason to have a plan B.
I think that there's a certain delusional—
you got to be delusional though—
that all successful people have to have.
Have to have.
You have to believe that something different than what has happened for the last 50 million years of history, you have to believe that something different can happen. Confucius said, uh, he who says he can and he who says he can't are both usually right. Being realistic is the most commonly traveled road to mediocrity. Why would you be realistic? What's the point of being realistic?
Just put up a barrier.
Yeah, I'm gonna do it. It's done. It's already done.
The second I What God has done is already done. So now we just gotta wait for y'all to see. I study the patterns of the universe.
There's a redemptive power that making a choice has, you know, rather than feeling like you're at effect to all the things that are happening.
Make a choice. Make a choice. Right?
You just decide.
Just decide.
What it's gonna be.
What it's gonna be.
Who you gonna be.
Who you gonna be.
How you gonna do it. How you gonna do it.
And then from that point, the universe is gonna get out your way.
It's like it's water. Wait, hold on, hold on. I don't want you to miss that. I want you to miss that. Yo, all you gotta do is decide. All you gotta decide is what you want, who you gonna be, and what you gonna do. Once you make a decision, the universe is gonna get out your way. That's what you don't realize. You don't realize that to win is simply just to make a decision, stand firm on that decision.
Decide, just decide, yo, this is what it is. Make a decision. Decide who you're gonna be.
Decide what you're gonna do, and the universe is gonna move out of your way. A lot of us are not getting what we want out of life because we have not made a decision. We, we teeter-tottering. We like, I could go with this or I could go with that.
I could go with this or I could— we teeter-tottering. Hey yo, stop teeter-tottering. Make a fucking decision.
See how I bleep myself out?
Make a decision. Stop teeter-tottering. Just make a decision. Decide, yo, this is it. You know what? It's how I'm gonna do it. That's it. Make a decision. Decide who you're gonna be. Decide what you're gonna do. Get the get busy.
Universe gonna move out your way. Opportunities gonna come that you only that you ain't even realized was there. That's why yo, that's why opportunity not coming to you.
Yo, opportunity not coming because you unsure. What? How opportunity coming to somebody who unsure?
You unsure.
You're not you're not even sure. You're not even positive.
You're not even like yo yo yo this is it. This is what I'm doing.
You don't even know. So how how you how you gonna how you gonna have look?
How you think you think opportunity is gonna come to an indecisive mind? Your mind indecisive and you think opportunity is gonna come to you? That's not how it work. That's not how it work. When you make a decision like, yo, this is it, I'm going all in, then you're gonna see exponential growth, right?
Because the universe wants to give you what you actually decide on. The universe can't— you can't go—
look, you can't go to a restaurant and say, you know what, I want chicken but I'm vegan.
What?
I don't even make no sense.
Yo, you know what? I feel like eating chicken, but I'm a vegan who loves fish.
Like that don't even make that don't even make sense. How how is the waiter gonna prepare the food for you?
You gotta make a decision. Yo yo let me get that. Let me get this and be and be stuck with that.
My fault.
And go around stuff, you know, just decide. And then from that point, the universe is going to get out your way.
That's why it's water.
It wants to—
it wants to move and go around stuff, you know.
You know, there's a—
there's a flow of the universe that I've grown to know just how to go with it. I realized that when—
to have the level of success that I want to have, it's difficult to spread it out and do Multiple things.
It takes such a desperate, obsessive focus. You really gotta focus with all of your fiber and all your heart and all your creativity. I'm motivated by fear. You know, I hate being scared to do something. And I think what developed in my, in my early days was the attitude that I started attacking things that I was scared of.
Frankly, most of us are dealing with fear, you know, the fear of fear.
So absolutely, absolutely. You can't be scared to die for the truth. The truth is the only thing that's ever going to be constant. I feel very strongly that we are who we choose to be. The only thing that I see that is Distinctly different about me is I'm not afraid to die on a treadmill. I will run, knock me out, I will not—
Hey, you start by starting, period.
You might have more talent than me, you might be smarter than me, you might be sexier than me, you might be all of those things. You got it on me in 9 categories, but if we get on the treadmill together, right, there's 2 things. You're getting off first. I'm gonna die.
It's really that simple.
The guy who is willing to hustle the most.
Yeah, I got, I got. Yeah, YouTube is good money. Your sport is in the building. Brandon Lee is in the building.
Ooh, man.
I'm nice.
I don't want to be out of bounds, but he's back in. It's like the commodity that I see the majority of people who aren't getting the places they want or aren't achieving the things that they want in this business is strictly based on hustle. It's strictly based on being outworked. It's strictly based on missing crucial opportunities. I say all the time, if you stay ready, you ain't gotta get ready. There's no reason to have a plan B because it distracts from plan A.
Hey yo, listen, there's no reason to have a plan B. It distracts you from plan A. You know what I'm saying? And, um, for those out there, because I get this, I get this a lot, right? A lot of people like, yo, I don't even know where to start. Um, I'm gonna tell you this acronym. I know I'm the acronym king. I'm gonna tell you this acronym: ACT, right? ACT is ACT, and it stands for Action Changes Things. That's it. Just take action. That's all.
A.C.T.
You gotta act instead of sitting on the sidelines trying to figure things out, writing it, whatever. You know, sometimes when you unsure, when you're indecisive, take action, right? Because action changes things. In fact, when you take action, action is actually going going to help you decide the things that you want to do and the things that you're not gonna do. The reason why I'm so sure about what you know, you know what I want to do or what I'm doing and what I'm not doing is because I did everything.
I did everything.
Everything that I thought I ever wanted to do, I did it already.
Right?
You know what I'm saying? Seven straight summers did it. Critics might not admit it, but nobody in finance did it quite like I did it. If I did it, then I've done it before. I did it, I had it, got mad at it, I don't want it no more. That's whole, you know what I'm saying? And I go for everything from ripping the raw, ripping, ripping vocal cords.
Don't get it different. Did it twice, did it different, did the impossible, then did it twice. Get it right, you feel what I'm saying? Like, I did everything.
So if you see me not doing it, I just don't want to do it. I just don't want to do it, you know what I'm saying?
Nobody quite like I did it. If I, if, if, if I seen it, I've done it before. I did it, I had it, got mad at it, I don't want it no more.
So you gotta act, you know what I'm saying? You gotta act, you gotta act, because you know what I'm saying, like, like, like traveling, being on the road, I did that. All right, cool. All right, what's next? You know what I'm saying? And so I know, I know what, I know what success looks like for me, right? Not for what it looks like for everybody else. I know what success looks like for me, and that's the only thing I'm focused on. I'm not focusing on what other, other people are doing. I'm not focusing on who's hot, who's not, you know what I mean? I ain't focus on who's hot, who's not.
Who rock?
Who sell out in the stores? That's it. I don't focus on that. You know what I'm saying? Who caught the blue drop? Who juice got rock?
That's it.
You know me.
I don't focus on that. I don't focus on that. I focus on my win. I know, I know, I know what it's going to take for me to win. You know what I'm saying? And so I focus on that. And that's what I need you to focus on, right? Because what they say, winners focus on winning. That's it. Winners focus on winning. That's it. Winners focus on winning. You are now tapped in and tuned in.
mindrightradio.com.
The reason winners win is because they don't give a shit what you think about their losses.
They don't really care about your losses.
The reason I roll the way I roll is I don't care what your opinion is. I don't care what my mom's opinion is. And when you're in that cocoon, then you can just go fast. Because, you know, when I love losing more than my biggest competitor loves me losing, well, I'm unbeatable. Like, because I love losing. I love the climb. I love the grind.
I love the grind.
The negative is the advantage. People fear losing. And when you're losing from the get, when you start off losing, You don't fear losing. You just convince yourself the game is rigged and you start dwelling. If I can get you to stop dwelling, and if I can get you to stop fearing losing, then you're off to the races. I don't care what your point of view is. I went to Mount Ida College, 95% minority kids. I went to the mall 7 times in the first 14 days that I went to Mount Ida College. I got pulled over 4 times. You know why? Because the other 3 kids in the car with me were Black. I'm like, unless you live that, you can't understand.
And I didn't live that.
live it.
I lived in— I was close to it, but I'm still not it. But like, you can't— don't sit somewhere where you've never interacted with a culture and judge.
You don't know. David Graham, appreciate the bad luck.
On shows like this, when I talk to homies, when I'm talking to the culture, and I'm like, yo, I got friends who have $10 million in the bank, trust fund babies who are more miserable than you, they're like, get the hell out of here. I'm like, you have no empathy. That sounds good. What do you think it feels like when you've lost before you started?
Because no matter what you accomplish, everybody's gonna be like, your daddy put you on.
You And that starts chipping away at you. There's a lot of youngsters saying, guys, Michael Jackson couldn't get plays on MTV until CBS really threatened to pull everybody off of MTV. Michael Jackson. Like, what more? Like, I know that, like, it feels bad and there's all these things. It's better in life than ever now, not because we're better as people, but because the internet is decentralizing the world. All this cryptocurrency Bitcoin stuff Everybody's in the craze. They're not being thoughtful. It's not about Bitcoin. It's about blockchain and what that technology means, which just means you and I, I can sell you my home. One quick transaction on the blockchain. We both trust it. It's good. And none of the banks and all these people get their hands in our business. Shit's going down. So go get yours. Like, like, stop telling me you're gonna, or stop telling me like you got held back. Stop bullshitting. Now there's no more excuses.
No more excuses.
There's no hiding.
No hiding.
Here's what's going to happen over the next 100 years, and I'm glad I'm putting it on film and audio right now because either maybe I'll be alive because technology is changing or my great-grandkids are going to be proud of me. We're about to go through the craziest 100 years of human beings. We're going to take one big step backwards. We're in the beginning stages. I think we're going to have a 10, 12 years of tension about all this shit. By the way, it's not going away tomorrow. You have to understand what's going to happen. Everybody's gonna get called to the mat. And then what people are gonna realize over the next 20, 30 years is like, wait a minute, everybody's flawed on something.
Everybody's flawed.
Who's perfect? There's not a person in this room that doesn't do something that all the rest of us would judge as a real bad thing. It's just the way it is. So it's gonna take us 40 years to get there, but once we do, people will be like, okay, wait a minute, we need to reset. Like, if everybody's got something, we need to react appropriately to that something. We need to have different conversations, like the way we treat alcoholism today or depression today, the way we didn't 30 or 40 years ago, right? That scarlet letter is going to change. And what's going to happen is we're going to live totally different lives. We're going to be far more accepting of shortcomings over time because the hypocrisy is going to be out the bag. Because if I ever think Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama or George Bush or Donald Trump has any impact on me, I'm a fucking loser. I'm a fucking loser. Super simple. The president has no impact on your life's happiness.
Go do it.
The reason winners win is because they don't give a shit what you think about their losses.
They don't care what you think about their losses.
The adversity, the negative is the advantage. The adversity, the negative is the advantage. If I can get you to stop dwelling, and if I can get you to stop fearing losing, then you're off to the races. I don't care what your point of view is. The reason winners win is because they don't give a shit what you think about their losses. The reason winners win is because they don't give a shit what you think about their losses. The adversity, the negative, is the advantage. The adversity, the negative, is the advantage. If I can get you to stop dwelling, and if I can get you to stop fearing losing, Then you're off to the races. If I can get you to stop hollering, and if I can get you to stop hearing music, then you're off to the races.
All right, Gary Vee. So look, I need you to win, right? I need, I need, I need you to have the winning attitude. I need you to stop caring about what other people think. I need you to just understand That's a win. You gotta have, you got, you gotta have the winning attitude. Take notes.
Before we start, take notes.
I'd like you to know that I'm not going to try to tell you how to live your life. Yeah, none of my business, nor is it anybody else's business. That's your business. Nor is this Lead the Field program a collection of pleasantries, platitudes, or Pollyanna. It is a summation of more than 20 years of research on one subject, and that is why do some people do so well in life While so many more do not. And the first thing let's talk about is the magic word. The experts call it the most important word as far as the results we get from life are concerned, in this or any other language. And that word is attitude. It is our attitude toward life which will determine life's attitude toward us. Let's face the fact honestly that we shape our own lives, and the shapes of them will be determined By our attitudes. A person with a poor attitude toward learning, for example, isn't going to learn much until he changes his attitude. If we take the attitude that we cannot do something, we generally will not do it. An attitude of failure, and we're whipped before we start. So we know then that what we receive from life, what we accomplish or fail to accomplish, is due in large measure to our overall attitude. William James of Harvard University put it this way: The greatest discovery of my generation is that human beings can alter their lives by altering their attitudes of mind.
Altering attitude of mind.
We have this measure of control. Before we start talking about our attitude toward the world, let's talk about our attitude toward ourselves, since it is the attitude we take toward ourselves which determines our attitude toward the world. Now, right here we come to a rather strange fact. We're so familiar with ourselves, we tend to take ourselves for granted. We tend to minimize the things we can accomplish, the goals we can reach, and for some equally strange reason, believe others can accomplish things in our field which we cannot. There are literally millions of human beings living narrow, darkened, frustrated lives, living defensively simply because they take a defensive, doubtful attitude toward themselves. And as a result, toward life in general. Many people are suspicious of and oppose change, yet change is the one thing in life on which we can absolutely count. People who stay young all the years of their lives not only welcome change, but see it for what it really is: new opportunity, new chances for further fulfillment. Attitude is a reflection, a result of a person's will. It is incalculably powerful. It can bring about marvelous results for us, but we need to train it patiently, day by day. Now let's talk about the attitudes of people who are successful, the top 5% of the people who go sailing through life from one success to another, and who, even when they fail at something, shrug it off and head right out again. No matter who the person is or what he does— men and women in sales, business executives, people in all the professions, Wives and mothers, students, top people in the armed forces, public servants, men and women in the service of religion, working men and women in all fields of endeavor. Wherever you find a person doing an outstanding job and getting outstanding results, you will find a person with the right kind of attitude. These people take the attitude toward themselves that they can accomplish what they set out to accomplish, that there's no good reason on earth why they can't be competent Successful. They have a healthy attitude toward themselves and, as a result, toward life and the things they want to accomplish. And because of this, they achieve some remarkable things.
Yeah.
And they come to be called successful, outstanding, brilliant, lucky, and a lot of other things. They're quite frequently no more brilliant or outstanding than the majority of the people by whom they're surrounded, but they did develop the right attitude, and they found their accomplishments Not too difficult, and many times surprisingly easy, simply because it seems that so few are really trying, really believe in themselves. Successful people come in all shapes and sizes and in widely varying degrees of intelligence, background, and so on. But they all have one thing in common: they expect more good out of life than bad. They expect to succeed more than they fail.
They expect to succeed.
If you want something worthwhile, take the attitude that there are a lot more reasons why you can have it than there are that you cannot, and set out to earn it. Go after it, work at it, ask for it, and 9 times out of 10, you'll get it. Our environment is really a mirror of our mental attitude. If we don't like our environment, we have to change our attitude first.
Change our attitude first.
Now, the world plays no favorites. It's impersonal. It doesn't care whether we change or not. Adopting a good, healthy attitude toward life doesn't affect the world and the people in it nearly as much as it affects us. It would be impossible to even estimate the number of jobs which have been lost, the number of promotions missed, the number of sales not made, the number of marriages ruined by poor attitude. But you can number in the millions the jobs which are held but hated, the marriages which are tolerated but unhappy, all because of people who are waiting for the world and others to change toward them instead of being big enough and wise enough To at least make a test which will prove beyond any shadow of a doubt where most, or at least a big part of the trouble lies. Studies made of the lives of literally thousands of successful people have shown that they radiate confidence, assurance. They expect success and they get success. You can spot these people by the way they walk, by the way they look and act. You can feel it about them when they enter a room. They may be short and fat, or Tall and thin or any combination in between, but they have about them the attitude of success. In the record Greener Pastures, I'll get into this next statement, but right now I want you to realize, if you don't already, that in 5 years or less you can get right to the top of the work you're now doing.
Top of the work that you're now doing.
But the important question here is, do you know this?
Do you know this?
The minute you do know it, you'll have this right attitude I'm talking about.
Wait, hold on. Do you know, right?
Do you know?
Forget what everybody else say. Forget if you got the cosign or not. Do you know that if you made a decision and you focused on winning, that you could start to win? As as as early as this year, you got you got a whole. 90 days, 92 days to be exact, right? Let me just make sure. You got a whole 93 days— excuse me, you got a whole 93 days to make a decision to win. And the moment you start being a winner, start doing what winners do You become a winner that easy.
The easiest and most effective means of forming a good attitude habit is to begin to act as though you have a good, positive, expectant attitude toward life. That's right, begin right now to walk, act, and look as though you belong to this group. If you're already in the top 5%, you'll know what I mean. If you've never tried it, you'll be amazed at what happens. Actions trigger feelings. Just as feelings trigger actions. Now, let me tell you of a little test you can make, which will prove beyond any shadow of a doubt that a good attitude can change a person's life as dramatically as walking from a darkened room into the bright, clear light of day. Not long ago, I read a line which went, life is dull only to dull people. This is true, but it also could have read, life is interesting only to interesting people. Or life is successful only to successful people. And what I'm trying to say is that you must first become mentally, from an attitude standpoint, that which you wish to achieve.
That which you wish to achieve.
A famous restaurateur was being interviewed by a reporter who asked, when did you become successful? He replied, I was successful when I was sleeping on park benches because I knew what I wanted to do and that I would do it. In short, his attitude had been one of success, of expecting success long before Before the material, the tangible rewards of success have been earned. We'll get into this particular phase of lead the field in record number 3, A Worthy Destination. But for now, remember that a person must act, look, and because of these things, feel successful before the success he seeks can come.
Before the success.
Chances are, you know people who seem to be what others call lucky. All kinds of good and wonderful things seem to happen to them, and they give the impression of happily sailing through life, having a wonderful time, and getting more accomplished a year than most people do in 5. This has been figured out fairly scientifically, and if anyone will conscientiously go about the test I'm going to recommend and stay with it every day for the next 30 days without fail, that person can join this small, happy, and extremely productive group of people. He'll find himself becoming lucky, as they say.
Yeah.
And most of his problems will pretty well take care of themselves. Of this you can be sure. The results will be nothing short of amazing. Now, it makes no difference how good a person's attitude has been in the past. Anything can be improved Upon, and it's the small refinements upon something already good that makes it great. So here's the test: for the next 30 days, act toward the world, everything and everyone with whom you come in contact—
Wait, so look, hopefully y'all taking notes, right? Because we got 90 days, right? We got 93 days until 2022, in God's will. Right, and Earl Nightingale is about to give you instructions. Do, do this for the next 30 days.
The past, anything can be improved upon, and it's the small refinements upon something already good that makes it great. So here's the test: for the next 30 days, act toward the world, everything and everyone with whom you come in contact, with the attitude Which represents the kind of results you want to achieve. That is, if the result you want is more success in what you're doing, act as though you are already in possession of the success you seek. If you want others to treat you with admiration and respect, treat others with admiration and respect first. Ever stop to think of this? Every human being on Earth is the most important human being on Earth as far as he or she is concerned. You may never get anyone to admit it, but it's a fact. So for the next 30 days, treat every person with whom you come in contact as the most important person on earth.
As the most important person.
Remembering as you do so that as far as that person is concerned, he is. Now, the reason I say treat everyone in this fashion is mainly because this is the way human beings ought to treat each other, and because it will help you form a habit that will bring you amazing and delightful results for the rest of your life. Have you ever noticed that the higher you go in any organization of value, the nicer the people seem to become? You see, the bigger the person, the easier it is to talk to him, to get along with him, to do business with him. You know why? It's because he's got a good attitude, and people with the best attitudes just naturally gravitate toward the top. So for 30 days, act toward others in the world at large in exactly the same manner you want the world and others to act toward you.
Yeah.
Treat your wife or husband as the person he or she really is, the most important person in your life. The same with the children. Carry out into the world each morning for 30 days the kind of attitude you would have if you were the most successful human being on earth, and notice how it quickly develops into a habitual attitude. When a person does this, he should realize he has already placed himself on the road to what he seeks. He is right now in the top 5% of the people in this or any other country. He has prepared the ground and planted the seed. He has made of himself a magnet, an embodiment of that which he seeks. Before metal can be cast into a desired shape, the mold, the expectant receptacle, must first be fashioned. Before a building can be erected, the excavation must be made and the foundation laid. And before a person can achieve the kind of life he wants, he must become that kind of individual. He must think, act, talk, walk, and conduct himself in all of his affairs as would the person he wishes to become. He is then actually that person, and the things that person would have and do will naturally come to him. Almost immediately, a change will be noticed. Irritations that used to frustrate and annoy disappear. When some less informed individual gives you a bad time, stay on the track. When someone cuts in front of you with his car or acts in any other manner that shows his ignorance and lack of courtesy, don't permit yourself to drop to his level. Pity him, for that's what he really deserves. That's the very group a person doesn't want to belong to. And if he acts like them, well, let's face it, he belongs with them. There's nothing in the world that men, women, and children want and need more than the feeling that they're important, that they're needed and respected. They will give their love, their Their respect, and their business to the person who fills this need. So the magic word is attitude.
Attitude.
And in summing up, a few points to keep in mind. 1, it is our attitude at the beginning of a task which more than anything else will affect its successful outcome.
It's our attitude in the beginning.
2, it is our attitude toward life which determines life's attitude toward us.
Yep.
3, we are interdependent. It is impossible to succeed without others, and it is our attitude toward others which will determine their attitude toward us.
4.
Before a person can achieve the kind of life he wants, he must become that kind of individual.
Become that kind of individual.
He must think, act, talk, walk, and conduct himself in all of his affairs as would the person he wishes to become.
5.
The higher you go in any organization of value, the better will be the attitude you will 6, your mind can hold only one thought at a time, and since there's nothing at all to be gained by being negative, be positive. 7, the deepest craving of human beings is to be needed, to feel important, to be appreciated. Give it to them and they'll return it to you. 8, look for the best in new ideas. As someone said, I've never met a person I couldn't learn something from. 9, don't waste valuable time broadcasting personal problems. It probably won't help you. It cannot help others. 10. Don't talk about your health unless it's good.
Unless it's good.
11. Radiate the attitude of well-being, of confidence, of a person who knows where he's going. This will inspire those around you, and you'll find good things will begin happening to you. And 12, lastly, for the next 30 days, treat everyone with whom you come in contact as the most important person on earth. If you do this for 30 days, you will do it for the rest of your life. Now, in closing, remember the words of Walter Dill Scott of Northwestern University: success or failure in any undertaking is caused more by the mental attitude even than by mental capacities. Thank you. You are now listening to mindrighteradio.com, the only place to get inspiration and motivation all day, Every day.
All right, so here's what I want you to do though. Here's what I want you to do, right, is that once you have this winning attitude— this is, this, this is where everybody get hung up, is where everybody get hung up— you have the winning attitude, you start to take action, and you start to see remnants of winning. You start to win. And then all of a sudden, the people around you start saying you acting funny. People who are not ready to win are, are trying to, trying to hold you back. They, you know what I'm saying? You start to, to see that you going hard, you're spending time chasing your dreams. They say you not, you're not acting the same. You know, you start feeling guilty because you start having success and the people who around you are not having that level of success, and you to apologize for making a decision. Don't do that. Not, not for the next— not for these next 90 days. I need, I need you to put your blinders on. I need you to focus on winning. Yo, don't do it till you get it right.
Do it until you can't get it wrong.
A lot of people get it right one time and they start feeling themselves like, oh yo, I'm good now. I'm—
nope, do not stop when you get it right.
Keep going till you cannot get it wrong. And do not apologize for your success. I need you, I need you to stand firm, right? I need this, I need you to stand firm. Your decision To win is not a decision to win once. I'm gonna say that again. Your decision to win is not a decision to just win once. I need you to permanently win.
I need you to win in everything you do.
I need you to win for the rest of your life.
I want you to win so much, right, that everything you touch, you know it's going to be successful. That's the level of win I'm talking about. I'm not talking about just winning once. I'm not trying to just talk about convincing yourself that you are able. F being able. F being positive, you know, you know, thinking that it's possible or probable.
I want you to be a winner, period, right? What they say, when the, when the, when the caterpillar breaks out the cocoon The cocoon have served its purpose.
You don't go back into— you don't go back. You don't go— the butterfly don't go back being a caterpillar.
It don't go back. So I need you to win permanently. And I, and I, and I never, I never— I don't want to hear you apologize. I don't want to see you apologizing. I don't want you to be acting all squirmish. I don't want you to walk into that winner and be that winner.
Sorry, not sorry.

Inspiration and motivation.
Sorry, not sorry.
As Henry David Thoreau said, never look back unless you're planning to go that way. That's how People get trapped. There's something inevitable about the way that the human mind works. It's going to try to draw you backwards. It's going to try to get you to focus on the bad things that have happened. It wants you to see your mistakes. It wants you to wallow in your mistakes. And I'll give it that, maybe it has the best of intentions. Maybe its hope is that I don't repeat those mistakes. Maybe what it wants to ensure is that I do better in the future. But the problem is your energy goes where your attention is, and if your attention is the past, that's where you're going to live. That's where you're going to spend your time, and you're never going to be able to plan for the future. The future doesn't happen. The future has to be built. It has to be created. And if you're not taking the time to map out that creation, then it's going to happen by accident, and you're never going to get the things that you want. You're never going to become the person that you're capable of becoming. But to become that push, you have to push yourself. You've got to make huge demands of yourself. And to do that, to have the energy to see that through, you've got to know what it is that you're trying to accomplish. And as William Faulkner said, don't bother just to be better than your contemporaries or your predecessors. Try to be better than yourself. But how can you do that if all you're doing is looking in You've got to have an eye for the future. You've got to know who you are today. You've got to have the self-awareness, the presence to look at yourself honestly, to accept what it is about yourself that is weak, that is inadequate, but without punishing yourself, without spending that time beating yourself up in the past, living there in the pain of what you got wrong, living there in the pain of all the things that have happened to you that were outside of your control that you didn't want. You want to build something new, don't spend any of your energy trying to tear down the old. Instead, spend all of your time trying to build the new. And that becomes the thing— it becomes the race against yourself. It becomes the race to see if you can make yourself better. You have a vision of who you can become, and you're constantly racing against that person. You're trying to become better than that person. You're trying to outperform Your own expectations. And when you can do that, when you can set a bar that is ridiculously high and then become somebody capable of surpassing that, then and only then will you become the person you are meant to be.
Copy that, Reaches.
Put all your time and energy into building you. As Epictetus said, He is a wise man who does not grieve for things which he has not, but rejoices for those which he has.
Oh, that's a bar.
That's gratitude, isn't it?
That's gratitude.
It's the very base decision that we all have to make. Are you grateful for the things that you have in your life, or are you always wanting more? And trust me, I get it. I understand people that strive for more. I understand people that want something bigger and better, but at the same time, if you allow yourself to only think about what you don't have, to only be striving for something more, that, that obsession will begin to overtake you. It will begin to corrode you. But ultimately, it's a choice. Ultimately, at any time, right now, in this moment, you can stop and think about what you have. You can put your attention on the things you're grateful for and watch what it does. Watch what it does in that instance. The way that it changes you, the way that it changes your chemistry, your feelings in a moment can shift from negative and dark to beautiful with nothing else changing around you. Nothing but you deciding that you're going to focus on the things you're grateful for.
Decide, decide that there are things in your life to be grateful for.
grateful for. And that is a decision. No matter what is happening in your life at any moment right now, in the depths of a depression, in something going on terribly in your life, you can choose right now to think about the things you're grateful for. The breeze, a smile from somebody kind, a stranger who holds open the door for you, anything. But it's a choice. And as Einstein said, there are only 2 There are 2 ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle. And what choice are you making? What are you choosing to focus on right now? Do you let gratitude fill you up or not? And here's the critical part, and I want you to listen to this really well. Whatever you decide, whether you decide you live in a world Of miracles, or whether we decide we live in a world devoid of miracles. You are choosing one thing to the exclusion of the other. And when you focus on something that you're grateful for, when you look at those little moments in your life and choose to see them as grand miracles, even when it is only a gentle hand on your shoulder, even when it's only a kiss from somebody who you've kissed a thousand times before, even when it is only holding the hand of somebody Who needed your handheld. Even when it's something that simple, it really is a miracle. That it really is something that can fill you. It really is something that will change your chemistry, bring a connection between 2 people, allow you to see a grander vista, or even just open a window and look out at the world and realize that you're alive. That this is all a miracle. That none of this is guaranteed. That every breath you take— could be your last. And in that, you can choose to cherish what you have. In that, you can decide to focus on that you have a breath to take. And even when it's something that simple, when you train your mind to do that, when you train yourself to decide to see the beauty in And nobody can ever take it away from you.
Nobody can ever take it away from you.
No matter where you are, no matter what's going on in your life, you'll be able to rise up and feel the beauty that is being alive. So take a minute, take a minute at the worst times in your life and focus on the things that you're grateful for.
Focus on the things that you're grateful for. Right? So look, as you as you get your win, know that you work for it. Know that you deserve it.
Right?
Show gratitude. Don't don't apologize. Right? For getting what you deserve, what you work for, for you walking into your being. Don't apologize for that. Um, I cha. Um. I got— that's my time.
