The video captures Ash Exantus delivering a keynote at SUNY Oneonta’s Making Sense conference, where he blends financial‑literacy education with mindset techniques. He opens the workshop by emphasizing the power of vision boards and daily affirmations, urging students to visualize their goals and repeat empowering statements. He shares a brief story about building big achievements brick‑by‑brick and choice‑by‑choice. After his presentation, several students give short testimonials, noting that the session opened their eyes to basic money concepts such as credit scores and practical budgeting, and that the advice felt immediately useful. The group then participates in a series of affirmations—repeating phrases about a “millionaire mind,” openness to opportunities, and growing self‑worth and net‑worth. The program coordinator, Kevin Sutton, comments that the event left students feeling more confident and positive. Overall, the content blends instructional financial advice with motivational mindset work, reinforced by student reactions and coordinator endorsement.

Hi, my name is Kevin Sutton, and I coordinate the Making Sense program at Oneonta. So we just had the event that Ash was our keynote speaker on. I thought that his— the way he speaks is very relevant to students. He's really engaging. He gets students excited, and he makes them feel positive. I feel like every student that was at the event felt positive about themselves and had confidence that they may not have had when they walked in the door initially.
And so I started off this workshop earlier today talking about vision, talking about affirmations. And so the second part of the affirmations, you're telling yourself these things, the second part is also about your vision, having a vision board. I am a big believer in a vision board, right? And so a vision board is pretty much just you Putting together what your vision is and keeping that in your mind's eye. What do you want to see for yourself? What are those things that you want to accomplish? I'll leave you with a quick story, and it says, big things are built one brick at a time. Victories are achieved one choice at a time. A life well lived is chosen one day at a time.
I attended the Ash Cash Financial Literacy Workshop, and to be honest, I have to say that I am eye-opened, if that makes sense. Like, I came into this workshop knowing nothing about money. Because me as a student, I don't know anything about credit scores and everything, and he was very helpful about what to do with that and how to be great at it.
really told me about that, or like I don't really have a lot of information about that. So it was really good to get an expert's input on that.
I thought Ash had a lot of great points that he brought up, things that could be useful in the immediate future and definitely in the long run. Overall, it was a great, great workshop, very insightful, and I'm so happy that I went.
