In this motivational presentation at Cardinal Spellman High School, financial coach Ash Cash (Mr. Mind Right Money Right) challenges students to shift their mindset from "poor" to "wealthy." He differentiates being rich—working hard for money—from being wealthy—making money work for you—by emphasizing passive income and ownership of assets such as real estate, intellectual property, and investments. Cash illustrates the concept with a concrete example: buying a house not to live in, but to rent out, thereby becoming a landlord and generating passive income. Throughout the talk, he repeats affirmations about self‑love, financial stability, and goal focus, encouraging students to internalize these beliefs. The session concludes with student testimonials (Carlos Brito, Jillian Kamara, Vidya, and an unnamed speaker) who describe how the presentation altered their perception of money, inspired them to pursue wealth over mere richness, and motivated them to overcome negative narratives about their backgrounds.

Hey, I am Ash Cash, the financial motivator, Mr. Mind Right Money Right. I am excited. I am at Cardinal Spellman High School about to pour into the youth to help them change their mind, change the way they look at money, to motivate them, to help them achieve all of their dreams and aspirations. Poor, poor is a mindset. And so we think about rich and wealth, and rich is simply working hard for money. Wealth is making your money work for you. A lot of people, when they graduate college, start creating a family, the first thing they want to do Is they want to buy a house and they buy a house to live in. But what if, what if instead of buying a house to live in, they bought a house and then they rented it out? They found the tenant to pay them to live in that house. Now, what they just did was create wealth for themselves because now they own this house and now they're renting the house out to somebody. And so literally, They are— they have created what's called passive income for themselves. Now you just became a landlord and now you created wealth for yourself. And so the thought process is, as you start to get to that next level of life, always think about ownership. Always think about what can you own, whether it's intellectual property, whether it's property, whether it's investments, whatever it is, ownership is what's going to create wealth. I think like a millionaire. I think like a millionaire. I have a millionaire mom. Every day in every way, I'm getting better and better.
Every day in every way, I'm getting better and better.
I love myself unconditionally.
I love myself unconditionally.
I am building a financially stable future for myself and my family.
I am building a financially stable future for myself and my family.
I focus on my goals.
I focus on my goals.
My self-worth and net worth are building every day.
My self-worth And that we're building every day.
My name is Jillian Kamara. I go to Cardinal Spellman High School, and Ash Cash's presentation was very motivational, and it was very refreshing to see a different perspective on how to look at money as opposed to, like, what society and what the rest of the world is teaching us today. And one of the most important things was The differentiating between what wealth is and what being rich is, because majority of people today feel like being rich is what you want to achieve, but in reality, being wealthy is what you want to achieve because that's how you become financially free.
Ash Cash's presentation was a lot more different than what I expected, but actually hearing his inspirational speech and what it means and what he's trying to convey to us, in all, I gotta say his presentation was great. It motivated me, inspired me to do what I needed to do. And basically, I gotta say thank you for visiting Cardinal Spellman.
Hi, my name is Vidya and I go to Cardinal Spellman High School. I was very impressed by the presentation. I didn't expect it to be as amazing as it was. It really did move me and inspire me the way I think, especially to change the way I think. I think as kids we're surrounded by a lot of negativity and we don't think we can reach our goals because of where we start off. So it was truly inspiring to see that he started from nothing and elevated himself to something amazing. So thank you.
My name is Carlos Brito. I go to Cardinal Spellman High School, and Mr. Cash's presentation was really inspirational. Before I came here, I was like, another presentation? Do I really need to listen to this guy? And I came here and I sat down, and he started talking. I was like, wow, this guy's pretty different. And he changed my perspective on a lot of things. Like, I used to think, oh, I want to do something. My friends would be like, oh yeah, do you really want to do that? And I put that aside and I don't achieve it. And now whenever I set a goal, I'm gonna make sure that I follow through and go for it.
