Of a long day. But a good day.

Yes, it was a good day.

It's been a good day. So just to kind of catch you up to where we are. We are kind of riding high after having our first, the first Exo Marriage Conference of 2022 at Fellowship Church in Grapevine, Texas. And we just thought we would share some of our reflections on that. Some of you listening probably were there. And feel free to write us over at Instagram aveandashleywillis about your reflections because we'd love to hear kind of how you felt about it. But you know, coming off that, it's like one of our favorite events of the year because the team at ExoMarriage and all the speakers involved that come from all around the country and people tuning in not only from all around the country, but from all around the world is. There's such a buildup, right, sweetie?

Yes.

And then it's almost like you're giving birth a little bit. You're giving birth to this?

Well, I wouldn't know exactly, but.

Well, in the sense of the excitement and the preparation and we planned this all year. For example, the EXO team is already planning for 2023. They've already been having conversations and so, sweetie, what was your first thought like when I say XO 2022 grapevine, what.

Do you think of awesomeness, excitement, adventure? I thought it was maybe the favorite event that we've ever done at exo.

Okay, so I think there's several reasons. Number one was just after two years of kind of pandemic related event cancellations and events that had to be much smaller to have an excited full room at fellowship Church. Over 3,000 people in attendance, plus many more watching with the simulcast. It just had an electric energy about it. There was a great sense of gratitude. I think all of us on the team felt and even in the audience that we were together again. And then on top of that, the lineup was incredible. Pastor Ed and Lisa Young and their whole team at Fellowship Church were incredible. I was so deeply inspired by the speakers, by the worship by Cece Winan singing by so many moments along the way and for Ashley and I personally, it was. It was exciting to get to share from the Counterfeit Climax book, which is a project.

Yeah.

Two brand new talks about sex that we'd been. We'd been, you know, working on this content, thinking about this content, praying about this for so long, and now the book is out. Actually, as we record this, it is launch day of the book. So, you know, we're so excited about that. If you don't have it already, please pick it up. You know, you get the hardcover ebook. The audiobook is my favorite because we got to narrate it. Ashley used to make fun of the way I used to say.

I used to say narrow rate.

I added some extra syllables. I would say narrate as a side point.

I did look it up because I trust Dave. Dave is a master communicator, and he's so good at the English language. I looked it up because I'm like, have I been saying narrate wrong my entire life? And then I realized, no, I haven't.

You're right.

So I go like, sweetie, you've been saying narrate.

And I still say sometimes I can't help it. I just. I want to add a syllable. But we narrated it, and I'm gonna.

Let this premium you guys. I'm gonna let our pup in here, because if not, she's gonna be like, claw on the door. So you guys get, like, the whole experience. Here we go. Come on in, Cheech.

All right. That's our dog. Chi Chi.

No. So I know. I love. I want to say one thing, like we did, you know, whenever we go, of course we're speaking, and that's little Cheech's little name, her little tag making that noise whenever we're speaking. You know, we also listen to those and watch those who are presenting. And let me tell you, so many amazing speakers that, you know, I truly. And I think people think, oh, you just say that. Dave and Ashley just say, learn something. But, guys, we really do.

No, we really do. We need it.

Absolutely.

Every couple needs it to keep growing and when to hear from people that have so much experience and so much insight, I. We just sit in awe and soak it up every chance we get. Sometimes we have to miss the sessions because we're, you know, talking about these things. But when we can. It is a gift.

It is. Let me tell you my favorite one that I heard this year so far. Now, it's really hard to pick a favorite, but maybe favorites the wrong word. Maybe the word is the one that I felt most convicted by.

Like, there you go.

And I mean that in the best way. Like, why go to these conferences if you're not going to have something that you feel like God is working on in your life? Right?
