Personal testimonial by Christine Wright (junior Gupta coach, level three trainee) describing her multi-year healing journey with the Gupta Program. She recounts illness onset in 2012 after viral mononucleosis, an initial ~60% recovery with the program, subsequent relapse and worsening (by 2017 bedbound with multiple diagnoses including fibromyalgia and CPTSD), recommitment to the Gupta Program alongside EMDR therapy, and full recovery by 2021 after relocating to Western North Carolina. She began Gupta coach training in September 2022 and expected certification by July (year given in the video). Christine highlights consistent daily use of program tools, parts work, reconnecting with a "wise loving self," and reengaging with nature and joy as key recovery factors.

Hello everyone. My name is Christine Wright. I am a junior Gupta coach and a level three trainee. And today I'd like to share with you my healing journey with the Gupta Program. So my story begins all the way back in 2012 and at that time I was attending college full time to study my passions of health, fitness and psychology. And I was doing that by day and working a part time job by night. If that weren't enough, on top of classes, I also exercise with intense cardio and weight training on an almost daily basis. So when I contracted viral mononucleosis that same year, the stress on my system from my unsustainable lifestyle, coupled with some unresolved issues from my younger years really caused my system to get stuck in dysregulation. I quickly developed all of the symptoms of cfs. Me and my life suddenly became very small. I had to leave college and my career due to the severity of the symptoms. Thankfully, within a few months I was introduced to the Gupta Program and I began recovering at a rapid pace. I would say I recovered to about 60% at that time, but because I didn't fully embrace this transformation as a lifestyle change or do any of that really deep work on the patterns that caused me to be ill in the first place, I let my practice of the program slide and within a few years all of the symptoms had returned. By 2017, I was back to being bedbound on and off. I also found myself in an abusive relationship, which added really greatly to the stress related symptoms I was experiencing. Along with the CFSME, I developed fibromyalgia, chronic UTIs, interstitial cystitis, tension headaches, PMDD, insomnia, anxiety, and then eventually complex post Traumatic stress disorder. There were many months when I was nearly completely bedbound and I really felt that I had lost sight of my true self. But I knew what I needed to do. That year I recommitted fully to the Gupta Program coupled with EMDR therapy for the cptsd and I embarked on a deep journey of healing and self discovery. Now I do want to mention that I did need additional therapy for my trauma, but I do believe that the Gupta Program supported my resilience during this challenging time. By 2021, I had recovered enough strength and self love to leave that relationship and I moved to Western North Carolina to reinvent myself and my life in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. It has been an incredible journey of healing that has taught me many lessons about the strength of the human spirit, mind and body. With continued use of the Gupta Program, I have since recovered fully from my neuroimmune condition syndromes and I'm joyfully able to hike, trail, run, swim and explore the natural world on an almost daily basis. I have also been on my Gupta Coach journey since September of 2022 and I'm expected to become fully certified by July of this year. Now I'm often asked about what are those key factors that really helped me in my healing journey? And for me that was being consistent with the use of the tools over time. Just every day continuing on with the program, so relaxing my nervous system, doing my art rounds in the morning, and then also I love the OMG short stop versions throughout the day. And for me I had parts that were resistant to continuing to use the tools for several different reasons, but doing some deeper parts work really helped me to move through that and continue with the consistency. So it's really about progress and consistency instead of perfection with the tools. Another thing that really helped me was learning how to become more connected with my wise loving self as well as doing some deeper parts work and really understanding the patterns that my parts were creating around. Why did I become ill in the first place? How was I living in a way that wasn't authentic? And what can I do now from this place of the wise loving self to live more authentically, more in line with who I choose to be? And lastly, something else that supported me in my healing journey was reengaging with joy. And for me, that is being out in nature, being really present with my surroundings and orienting to the plants and just being with them.
