A first-person YouTube testimonial by Filip (33, Macedonia) describing his long Covid experience and recovery using the Gupta Program (brain retraining). He had an initially mild acute infection, then developed delayed, chronic fatigue beginning ~2.5 months after infection that progressed over weeks into severe multi-sensory sensitivity and cognitive impairment. After starting the Gupta Program he experienced immediate hopeful improvement, later setbacks, gradual rebuilding of belief and mindset, and marked recovery milestones: 50% recovery by ~7–8 months, renewed enjoyment of music after ~1.5 years, and eventual return to social activities, exercise, reading, holidays, and daily functioning.

Hello, my name is Filip. I'm 33 years old and I live in Macedonia. I got Covid and the symptoms of the acute infection were very mild. And after one week I went back to work. I went back to exercising and I was feeling pretty well. And after two and a half months I felt the first wave of fatigue and I thought it will pass away, but it became chronic after very like couple of weeks. I couldn't work, I couldn't exercise and my health condition was getting worse and worse. My main symptoms for the first six months was just fatigue. But later I developed burning sensations around my legs and my arms. And I started being very sound sensitive and I couldn't concentrate, I couldn't stand any light. So I had to be in a dark room blindfolded. And I was so sound sensitive that I had to wear earphones with white noise. I couldn't even save more than two sentences, so I couldn't make conversations. And it was really. I was really isolate isolated. And that was the most difficult time. I started the program and after I listened the first lessons for a with explanation of the condition, immediately I felt hopeful. I. I felt happy that I found the real explanation of the condition. And I. I suddenly got like 20, 30% better at that exact exactly moment. And I felt pretty happy. I said to myself, that's great, problem solved, I will get back to recovery pretty soon. But after a couple of days I experienced a longer dip. It was very disappointing for me. I was not prepared, I didn't and I started getting confused. I have started to have doubts about the. The brain retraining. I was lucky to have my brother to do the research. So he started watching a lot of inspirational stories from people that got recovered from cfs. And he said to me that almost every story is similar to yours. And almost every successful story is because the people use brain retraining. So somehow I build it. Like the seeds of the belief started growing inside me from that point. So I started rebuilding my mindset again. And after seven, eight months I reached 50% recovery. One of the first milestones were when I could finally eat by myself and listen to music. And listening to music after maybe one year and a half it for the first time it was very magical for me because I am always listening to music. Also going outside for the first time in, in a year to see the, the nature and the birds and the flowers and the cats. It was very beautiful milestone. Now I am able to do everything. I can go to meet with my friends, I can go to parties I can go to hikes, holidays. I can read books.
