Gupta Programme Introductory Webinar with Ashok Gupta

Ashok Gupta presents his theory that ME/CFS, fibromyalgia, and chemical sensitivity stem from amygdala hyperactivity that locks the body in a chronic defensive state. He walks through his retraining techniques, pilot study results, and how the program works: home study materials, weekly webinars, coaching, and a money-back guarantee.

Welcome to our webinar about baguptapuram and how can help you recover from conditions such as me, chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia and mcs. So I'm really glad that you're able to join me today for what will be a fascinating discussion and a sharing of the the background to this hypothesis and more about how you can actually recover. Okay, just check one can hear me. Yep. Okay, I think we're okay. All right. Just to give you a bit of background to this, so many years ago I suffered myself from me and I had it to a moderate to severe level for around three years. So I was able to do basic things, but essentially I was housebound. And when I had it, I was actually at university and I quest to really understand more about what this condition was about because, you know, I remember some of those moments and I'm sure we've all had them where you feel so overwhelmed with the condition and you just feel like, you know, whether it will ever disappear, whether you match the condition ever. And it's a real kind of gut wrenching feeling to have this unknown condition affect life. So I've been there and I've experienced that. And I remember in the moment thinking, this is it, now it's over. This I might have for the rest of my life. What will I do? And it was disheartening experience. But from I made it my quest to really understand what this condition and how I can get myself better. And it becomes we do research and just try and understand what on earth is going on. And so we go from, you know, like doctor to doctor to researcher. And everyone's got all these different theories as to what causes the condition. There was something going on in the brain. I knew that this was something related to the brain and the way the brain was reacting to the environment. I could just sense that there was something going on that was just on the periphery of consciousness. So I knew for sure, as we all know, that this wasn't a psychological condition, this is a real physical illness. But I felt that there was something going on in the brain, some kind of reaction causing conditions to continue without shift and without any change. So I did a lot of research and I especially went into the background, the brain neurology of the brain of emotion, just to understand that could be the basis of this particular condition. So probably a couple of years really trying to understand what was going on. In 1999, I actually published a hypothesis online with hypothesis related to the brain neurology. What was causing this condition. And then in 2001, the paper was actually published in the medical journal, so it's published in Medical Hypotheses. It was on PubMed for those of you who have a medical background. And it got a lot of kind of interest from other researchers and they said, yeah, you know, potentially this could be the cause of the condition, but it's very important to prove this. Then using that hypothesis, I was able to get myself 100% better from tools and techniques that I was using and things I'm making up just to try and break this vicious cycle that I felt was going on in the brain. And because I was so excited that I'd got better, I wanted to make it my life's work to help other people with the condition. So I set aside, I trained as a clinical hypnotherapist and an NLP practitioner and various tools and techniques, set up a clinic to help others. And I worked with patients for many years until 2000, 2009. And in 2007 we published our medical, we published our home study course. So we had so many patients coming to our clinic, we literally didn't have the ability to be able to treat all of them. So we did to actually create a home course so that people who were bed bound or housebound could still benefit from this knowledge. And that was available from 2007. Since then we've been refining that home study course and we're now also refining it again and launched a webinar series as well. So people can work from home with the programme, with the DVD treatments, but at the same time tune into weekly webinars such as this one, where they also feel like they're getting a one to one interaction and a weekly motivation to keep up the treatments. What to do today was really go into the background to the hypothesis in terms of what causes the condition, because that's really interest to us to see, okay, what is going on, what can explain this condition? And really if this hypothesis feels right to you, then it is something that you look to take further and you look to actually take on the Gupta program as part of your healing journey. Okay, so today is really a few different areas. So we're going to look at the, the hypothesis, we're going to look at some of the retraining techniques, then we'll look at some pilot study results, a few small pilot studies, research that we're looking to do, and of course more information about how to program can help you and how it works. Okay, so we'll be covering all of these different areas. Okay. Just everyone can hear me. Okay, I'm just going to just put that in so that everyone can see. Okay. So really for me, this is out to something to you. What matters is your health and your recovery. I've seen hundreds of patients, we've got hundreds of patients all over the world. And I'm not dogmatic about my treatment to get better. What genuinely matters to me is your health and your recovery. And whatever way you find that to me is a success. So if you watch this webinar, you find more about this particular treatment protocol, but you feel it's not for you and you find something else that gets you better. Brilliance. That's what really matters to me is because I'm through it. I know what a horrible experience it is having this condition. My number one priority is to get people better all over the world, however it is that they get better. And as we go through this, it's really understanding whether this feels right to you and whether it chimes with your personal experience and whether this program is the right course of action. I want to introduce you to a few brain structures. In brains, there are a couple of brain structures that I believe are the core reason for this condition. And so we have amygdala and two of them. There are two round structures, almond shaped structures, which are behind our eyes. The brain. The purpose or the role of the amygdala is to protect us from danger. Let's question of all why here from a philosophical perspective, but from a scientific perspective. We are millions of years of evolution. Our brains have evolved, our bodies have evolved to handle and deal with dangers in our environments. And so one of the roles of the amygdala is to protect us from danger. Protective responses are emotional responses, sometimes called a fight or flight response. For example, if a tiger is running towards us, then the body wants to protect us. So it goes into what we call fight or flight mode, which triggers the nervous system, it triggers the adrenaline and the body triggers the stress hormones, gets the muscles tense, ready for us to fight, which is anger response. So if we're in a fight, we'll get into an anger response or fight change, getting our muscles ready to run away from the danger. So what matters most to our brains and our whole nervous system is to protect us from danger. We are machines. We are machines that are enabled to protect us from dangers and ensure our survival. That is the number one priority of our system, our immune system, etc. Called the insula, not in the limbic system part of the brain just sit between the cortex and the limbic system. So you see the arrow there, the insula. And the insula's responsibility is to take in incoming data from the body as they're feeling and then pass that information on to other structures so that they can engage in protective responses. Okay, so the insula monitors the body's environment and how the body is feeling. Okay, So there are different brain structures involved. So it's just the amygdala and the insula. But I believe the four reasons that we still are in this amygdala and the insula. And I'm going to just explain that briefly. So this is a diagram that shows you where the insular part of the brain is. So that purple bit in the middle of the brain and the amygdala just sits below the thalamus. Let's describe how the condition may start in this particular diagram. You can see at number one at the top may be predisposing factors. Mean we're more vulnerable to developing ME chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, or MCS predisposing factors. Or those risk factors can be sick. So there may be something about our genes, which means we're more likely to actually get condition our upbringing. And then secondly, most people experience acute or psychological stress that accompanies the beginning of the condition. Just like to give me a second, I just have someone who's asked a question in terms of. So in terms of questions going to go through these diagrams and then open up the question. So if you want to ask questions, there should be a icon with a question mark, a blue with a question mark in it. And if you click that blue box, you'll be able to ask questions as we go on. But I think what I'll do is I'll go through this section and then I'll answer any questions that you may have. And you see the diagram, you can move around some icons that you have at the top of your screen. So if you click on the Participant tab, that makes a video of me full screen. If you click on the tabs, you'll be able to see the PowerPoint notes. A couple of people can't see the slides, but the rest of you can. You see the slides, you're able to see the slides on your screen. If you can't just have a play around with the icons at the top of your screen or at the bottom of your screen. If you're using a Mac, you should be able to see the slides. Okay, so most of us can see the slides there. For those of you who are a bit confused. This webinar is for people who have got the Gupta program who want to find out more about it. If you've already got the Gupta program, then our series, our three month webinar series is starting next Monday. Okay, so just for new people, We've got our predisposing factors. And acute psychological stress. People talk about a very stressful period at the beginning of the condition that gets combined with a virus, bacterial infection or some other kind of trigger which accompanies that stress. And in case of ME and chronic syndrome, in about 70% of cases we find that they have flu virus or a stomach bug. So conditions starting with a stomach bug, the other some other kind of virus. In the case of fibromyalgia, we find that sometimes it's a resident or localized pain syndrome generalizes to the entire body or it can be a virus that then triggers the fibromodule. In the case of mcs, so multiple chemical sensitivities, we tend to find that it's a put electronic stress combined with exposure to a particular call of suddenly inhaling fumes or thinner or mould that then triggers the multiple chemical sensitivities. When under a lot of stress, our immune system goes down. So the effectiveness of our immune system reduces when we are in a stressful environment or stressful experience. And that means that brain goes to defect overdrive. So I'm going to use this word defensive overdrive or hyper defense mode. Let's take a flu virus for instance. Now most of us find a flu virus or a cold virus a bit of inconvenience. You know, I just need to rest and get better from it. Actually, many thousands of people die each year from virus because their immune system is not powerful enough and not effective enough to be able to fight virus. So in the same way, if our immune system is lowered, then the brain is this hyper defense mode where it thinks this may not recover from this virus. Therefore, I must overstimulate the system further. I must overstimulate the nervous system to get this person to realize that they're in danger. Okay, and what causes this trauma in the amygdala insula, those two brain structures that I mentioned. Now what do I mean by trauma? I mean a physical trauma in the sense that those brain structures are damaged. But what I mean is that those brain structures make a very important decision. Those structures As a result, 1, 2 and 3 in the diagram, those make a decision that now we need to overstimulate the nervous system so that fight or flight defensive mode. And we need to over trigger aspirated immune system or the management system in the case of those systems because we're in danger. And support is the number one priority. Your brain, your body doesn't care about whether you feel good. Your brain, body, their number priority is make sure that you survive. And they will do everything that they can to make that these things are over triggered to ensure survival. I know I'm not too long on this because this is explained in detail on our website as well. I hope that helps you understand these various factors that come together to create the condition of the brain or the core conditioning. What do we mean by. We mean neurons in the brain start firing together. So start thinking that the brain is in danger, the body is in danger. We need to hyper stimulate aspects of the immune system causes the over inflammation. Once the flu goes. So let's imagine that we're talking about a flu virus here. Let's say the flu virus eventually is fought off because there has been immune system. The stomach bug is gone. The core pain issues that were there initially, that injury has healed. In the case of cs we are no longer exposed to that particular chemical in large doses. Each additional trigger at number three is no longer present. Something has changed, has got hyper defense mode. Traditionally in medicine we split responses and emotional responses so we think are separate in some way. But of course the brain doesn't make that differentiation. So the brain doesn't say oh, this is a physical response, this is an emotional response. Brain has all of those responses together as a defensive response whereby if you have flu you're quite down and depressed. Because a defensive response which includes all different systems of the body. Although the original condition is gone, it is with a legacy. The camera's just gone out of focus. So I'm going to try and refocus the camera. There, That's better. So it's left a legacy that now there's an overreactive response and slide here. Vicious cycle which I'll explain now is now responsible for hyper defensive sympathetic response. So certainly in the patients with me and CFS fibromyalgia there is something wrong with their sympathetic arousal system being continually overstimulated which causes excessive stress hormones in the body. Or what happens is they get adrenal exhaustion, exhaustion which is so tired and exhausted from that patient that he no longer has the resources to be able to stimulate the nervous system. Which is why if they try a patient with me to actually exercise, they can't exercise. The results are not there. The system is Exhausted. A lot of the symptoms are being caused either by an overstimulated nervous system or stimulated nervous system where the resources are not there to be able to handle the strains of life function in the immune system. The patients with me even fibromyalgia often report having swollen glands or feeling a bit fluid. You get diagnosis in the HPA axis similar sympathetic function which is the hypothalamus, pituitary, adrenal glands. That particular axis no functions correctly. And we know that from the research active oxidative stress in the body. So essentially the whole body is now stuck in the hyper defensive mode which unfortunately is using up all of the resources. And you might. I don't understand how just simple arousal can cause such severe symptoms in the body. That nervous system response is designed for a few minutes at a time. Response is almost continual and background it will use up all the energy in the body very very quickly. And had a panic attack. You know, you can attack which just lasts a few minutes, but it keeps someone severely exhausted for the rest of the day. Now multiply that by 100. Imagine that your nervous system is being constantly aroused unnecessarily to the point at which it reaches exhaustion. In the exhaustion phase, the body is no longer able to give you any energy or any ability to actually function. And that's why anything even psychologically can feel like a big deal. So if you want to do a task or there's a stressed person you need to deal with, it feels overwhelming because the body simply hasn't got the physical, mental and emotional resources to give to deal with that situation. Fibromyalgia, what we find is that the insula, the part of it's monitoring the body, we know fibro that there's abnormalities in the insula compared to normal subjects. And the insulin part of the brain is hyperactive, taking in almost too much information. Underactive, which means that it can no longer process all the signals coming in. Signals in the body are being magnified. What does this mean? Well, number five comes down to number six. Overactive sympathetic nervous system and an overactive immune system or a dysfunctional immune system can cause all the symptoms that we experience in these conditions. In the case of me and cfs, a lot of muscle dysfunction and pain, difficulty remembering things, we get issues and the sleep issues manage by these cycles. So when we fall asleep, even objects we find you have more pain in the morning. You can't have good memory recall and you can't think clearly when your sleep is bad. What I find most people, if you're not sleeping well. It's because the amygdala is active at night helping us from having the deep delta wave sleep that resonates the body autonomic dysfunction. So that means that the auto system is not functioning correctly. Pain or malaise so that means that we can't exercise. There are lots of doctors want us to exercise away but that is not going to work because the system, the resources, the neurotransmitters, the hormones. Patients report irritable bowel and that's because all the muscles of the stomach tighten up so they smooth flow of food through the colon. And we also know that the bad gun and bacteria in the Some people talk about leaky gut syndrome, but what's happening these downstream effects reason I believe for the condition, they're just secondary effects. We have effects on the vagus nerve. So the vagus nerve is a nerve body that monitors and controls parasympathetic nervous system versus sympathetic nervous system. Sympathetic nervous system, it doesn't really live up to its name but the sympathetic nervous system is the fight or flight response. Parasympathetic nervous system is the system which enables rest, digestion and repair in patients. That's completely out of balance. There's lots of evidence for that and ah, it's the vagus nerve. Vagus nerve is causing all of these problems. But the vagus nerve takes its cues from the brain, is simply processing the signals from the brain anyway. When we look at vagus nerve meditation, they look at brain meditation techniques, etc. They're very similar to what we need to retrain the nervous system. We get secondary illness cycles at the bottom. So Justin, so with this me and CFS in fibromyalgia, we have more of an emphasis on the pain signals that are coming from the body. So because the muscles are constantly being tightened, there's bug lactic acid and we know there's bad sleep. There's more pain in the body to the point the body is not repairing itself, the muscles are not healing themselves and then ongoing pain issues which are then being magnified by the brain. There's real pain in the body, but that is being magnified by the brain as well. Multiple chemical sensitivities. We found that that defensive response is triggered even with exposure. So it took quite a lot of chemicals to create a defensive response. But now if the brain gets even a little of that particular chemical in the environment or even a whiff of that cell, it then triggers this overactive defense immune response causes inflammation. So what we do know from the research is there's a lot of excessive inflammation in the body. People with fibromyalgia and afs and excessive brain inflammation as well. And this is all characteristic of an immune system that is not switched off. It's for inflaming the body continually. But it thinks that we're in danger. And the illness cycles at number seven, adrenaline. We've talked about mitochondria dysfunction. So when there is excessive fight or flight response, mitochondria don't respond, aren't as efficient as they normally are. And many researchers will say we have to fix the mitochondria by, you know, having particular supportive supplements. But that's once again dealing with the downstream symptoms going to the root cause of what's going on. Latent virus reactivation. Many patients find that excessive levels of bacteria and bacterial infections in their bodies will say, aha, you've got viral Titus or you there's excessive infections in your body, in your blood. People believe that that is a secondary illness cycle which is contributing to symptoms. Because when immune system is being triggered unnecessarily, inappropriately, it almost misses the target. It will allow these latent viruses, these latent bacterial infections to function in the body. And interesting no that this happens in patients with autism. And autism has been linked to a hyperactive amygdala, hyperactive nervous system system. This is so hyperactive that then allows opportunity viruses and bacterial infections to flourish in the body. Okay, Joining new I'm just going to. I'm just going to hear that we can make sure that everyone tech issue that we've had back to our diagram here. In the body, the medulla and the insula are now tuned to hyperreactive up into the sensory thalamus, up into the cortex and into the limbic system. Amicular things are which then the nervous system. Which means we use up a lot of our energy straight away. And that gives a wired feeling that if you've experienced this but it can feel like although we don't have any energy, you still feel quite wired at the same time. So we go periods of feeling very wired and then feeling very exhausted that we have no energy. And those signals come back into the emitter and the insula. The body is in danger. We now need to trigger aspects of the immune system, trigger aspects of the nervous system. And it's doing that round and around in this circle. And each patient unique pattern of symptoms based on genetic vulnerability. So is more vulnerable in terms of their gut, more vulnerable. Stress. Stress will go to their guts and they will be diagnosed as having irritable bowel with fatigue. But if someone is more prone to general chronic fatigue through muscle dysfunction, they'll have more muscle pain, more muscle aches and exhaustion from that. So chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, mcs, these are all scales with a lap in terms of symptoms. And in a paper where we rename all of these conditions neuroimmune condition syndromes in terms of it's the brain that's causing the condition. They're because aspects of the immune system are being triggered unnecessarily. Their conditions because there is conditioning and new learning that has gone on in the brain syndromes because each person has a unique pattern of symptoms based on their genetic vulnerability. And also what exactly happened at the beginning of the condition, what. An explanation of what goes on once this system has been set up. In the sense that once the neurological learning occurred, the brain is stuck in this mess of demon body, it no longer in a normal balance. It thinks that this is the right thing to do. And it makes sense, right? This is what the body and the brain think is the right thing to do. People are permanent organic damage. I can't say for definite that there's no permanent organic damage, but in my view, in vast, vast majority of patients, there is no permanent organic damage. This is a condition of the brain going hyperactive, in hyper defense mode and switched off and the body can go back into healing. So what happens some patients when we switch off that hyperactive response with these, they start feeling much, much better. Weeks, a number of months, because although switched off a lot of the nervous system and the immune system system, it's taking a certain number of months for the parasympathetic nervous system to heal and rejuvenate and repair the muscles and the cells to bring energy back. So recoveries can be very, very different according to their experiences. Okay, There's a lot that goes behind this. So actually this is a diagram of all these different signals of pain or muscle body going into the peripheral gray and going up to the hypothalamus and the amygdala, thalamus, they all interact. So that's a very messy slide here in terms of thalamus up into the amygdala and communication between these different brain structures. So the insula, the anterior cingulate, the hippocampus, and they all work together to actually figure out what the appropriate response to keep this pattern alive. A lot of communication between the front of the brain, which is called the prefrontal cortex, frontal cortex, and Parts of the brain are our conscious rational mind that can inhibit the signal coming through the. So this is a. How can we stop these reactions and establish neurological model that people use with pain syndromes. And we are now applying it to other conditions. There's a number of other diagrams that we can kind of both. If you want more information about the hypothesis, there will be a written explanation on the website and also on our website@guptaprogram.com you sign up for some free videos, any free videos. I look at this entire hypothesis from a slightly different angle. In diagram we can see there's an interaction between the amygdala and the insula in the middle of the diagram. And our conscious mind, the brain saying panic, panic, we're in danger. And the cortex responds by saying, you're right in danger. I might condition forever and act as a recombination message back to the amygdala which is the fight or fluid response at number five. The insula is the immune response which cause symptoms which come back to the amygdala and the insula a different version of the diagram. And therefore you find that tasks, events, situations and people also make it more likely that you're going to have a stress response. And it's far harder to deal with those situations. Just a particular task can send the nervous system into overdrive. Notice your sensitivity is increasing. So many people find they're more sensitive to light, more sensitive to sound. Over sensitive in general, physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, at all levels. The body is not in normal state. It's hyper defensive state. When we hyper defensive state will be more sensitive at all levels and all layers of our existence and they become more sensitive to certain people. They find it difficult around certain people. And our normal coping mechanisms to stresses and strains are no longer. There. Are so many different parts of the brain and the body. So the good is. The good is. I believe that everyone or the vaginal can recover from these particular conditions. Okay. Something called amygdala and insular retrain training. These particular brain structures are stuck in their hyper defensive mode. However, we ability through logical mechanism to be able to control those overreactive responses. Okay. Sorry to focus again. Just that. There we go. Okay. And these are techniques as I've mentioned, I've developed over many years. And so the difference between amygdala and insular retraining and behavioral therapy in the day of your driving lesson, the first driving lesson that you're going to have, you want to learn to drive now, CBT would be the equivalent of sitting in the car on the first day and thinking, if I'm really positive and if I change my thinking, I reckon I could learn to drive this car, it's really positive and let go of negative thoughts and just focus on being able to drive. Whereas training is learning how to drive. So, okay, well to drive I need to be able to turn the steering wheel and use the gears and press accelerator. And it all seems very complicated. Complicated. But when you go over many lessons, eventually brain gets the message that this is how you do it. And the neurological lear to be able to learn to drive the car anyway. Our brain has logically learned to stay stuck in hyper defensive mode. And what we do is unlearn that and better coping mechanisms for the brain. Essentially we want to decondition. We're not reconditioning necessarily. We are deconditioning the brain to stop those hyperactive responses. And the people have already used standard people. Involved. Well, it's a package of different tools and techniques which involve brain retraining technique, which is inspired by NLP processes and other types of processes that we call the main brain retraining. Brain retraining work with supportive processes. So there are meditation processes. And we know that meditation thickens the inside of the brain and reduces the reactivity of the amygdala, which is why patients do find some benefit from relaxation techniques and meditation. But because most meditation, meditation is quite difficult. So we designed many meditations that you can access that are specifically for very anxious minds and very busy minds have to be incorporated to re energize the body. Sometimes it's called chak or prana energy. So breathing is very important. And we know that breathing and meditation techniques can all reset the vagus nerve technique, which is very powerful. Training certain patterns in the brain which are causing the symptoms and other techniques as well. There's lots of advice on diet, on how to get better sleep, how we ourselves and the levels of activity and how into normal life. One thing from this condition to know to actually stay well when you're back into the normal stress and strain of the world. And one clue that we have that can tell us that this is not necessarily a condition of permanent organic damage is people have an up and down. This continues. So for people, they'll have up and down days. Some days will be better than others. Some will experience, you know, much better for a week or a couple of weeks and then have a relapse. And if this really was a condition where there was permanent organic damage, you would always feel the same. If you Break your leg, you break your leg, you're not going to have good leg days and bad leg days. It's all going to be the same. So there's a clue that the brain gets stuck in cycles which go faster, which feel more and they can for whatever reason slow down, which means they feel a bit better. And for those who are mathematicians, that cycle caused by feedback loop so contribute to this condition, this retraining is delivered. So there's a three month webinar series which I mentioned at the beginning is starting next week, it's starting next Monday. And tune in for an hour every week and we'll promise we'll deal with that. Came up today. Every week for an hour, an hour and a half, actually. They normally get to about an hour and a half because I want to make sure I answer all the questions and you get questions yourself and work through it step by step. And that becomes a three month training program where you're supported all the way through that training and get feedback each week. Receive a DVD home study course, you can use it at home and there's always CDs of meditations and various exercises. Setting up a new private Facebook forum, which is a very supportive forum. We will have an existing forum which is on the website. So if you want a completely annoying forum, we've got one on our website. And if you want to use one through Facebook, we're going to be setting that up as well. Workshops as well. So for instance, I'm presenting a workshop in September in London, 24th and 25th. And it's likely that I'll be presenting some workshops in the US as well, in the west coast and east coast of the US either end of October, beginning of November. One thing that I really want you to think about here is most, you know, I know people have spent thousands of pounds, thousands of dollars on trying to get better and we have already published a few medical studies and we've got a large medical study that we're looking to fund at the moment. We have that large medical study. We're offering a complete money back, no questions asked. So program after six months, if you feel that you've not benefited from the program in that six months because it's a six month treatment protocol, then you simply post that, refund you. No, that's because as I said at the beginning, my priority is getting you better. And if for whatever reason my program hasn't gelled with your money back and look for other treatments and other ways that you can actually heal yourself, I won't explain this diagram any further, but suffice it to say that there is a lot of medical evidence, a lot of neurological research showing that our prefrontal cortex, the frontal brain, has the ability to inhibit coming in through the surface of the insula and also anterior cingulate to stop tension, focus on the body, communicates with the insula, communicates with the amygdala and can reduce these vicious cycles. And that's what we're doing through these retraining techniques. How do we know that the core conditioning is in the insula, in the amygdala? Well, they've done animal studies and these animal studies are the core or prove you as to what causes these conditions in our studies, sweet water with an immunopressant they do a few times to create conditioning. And rats take sweet water with the immunosuppressants, Then the system goes down and that's what we'd expect. Just sweet water without immunosuppressant, guess what happens? Their immune system stays depressed even though they are just drinking sweet water. And analyze the brains as you might. What happens is that core conditioning is in the integral, which is conditioning the immune system to respond to future situations. And makes sense, right? Because if we experience something which is dangerous for us, we want to learn so that next time we come to that danger. And so there's more and more evidence showing that the influenza is where our programming for immune responses is stored. The intelligence and the amygdala we already know together parts of the brain are involved in conditioned fear responses. Now, we published a clinical audit in 2010 which over 90% of patients improved and 10 of patients reached 80 to 100% recovery within one year. And many patients had gone back to normal kind of work. And in terms of self assessment, functioning treatments free patients, their health is 40% function and by that year they're up to 77%. But obviously that's skewed by the certain patients for whom it wasn't such a big response. But the really exciting thing was that 2/3 of patients reached that full recovery. We've also studied with the Mayo Clinic. The issue with this particular study was, although significant, the amign training was two or three times more effective than the standard care. What we also found was that because it was administered not by our therapists, but by other therapists who were trained in it, we died dropping that weight. So it wasn't really study. And we've one study which has just been completed in Spain and has found that compared to a control there was a big difference in people's levels of fibromyalgia 6 months and will be published later this year. And that's really a landmark study because we've got, I think it's 25 patients in the control group and 20 patients in the active group. And we know, in patients with fibromyalgia. So that's a definitive study which will be published soon and that will make hopefully in the research community. Okay, now we have a controlled study that shows that this is clinically effective. Let's raise funds for a larger study. We're currently looking to raise $200,000 for a large study and we've raised $50,000 so far. So if you know of any foundation or researchers or individuals who want to collaborate on this study or indeed are able to fund this study, that's very exciting for us because we do feel that we would get a magnificent result, a great result patients, if we did a proper medical trial, a large scale trial. Okay. And I'm going to rattle through a lot, so we want to make sure that we've got time to answer your questions. So what questions we have in the Q and A box? If you can maybe put your questions in the Q and A box and not chat window, then it makes it easier for me to find them. I've been diagnosed with CFS and depression. Is the program fitting? I'm not suicidal, right? Women who have CFS me. There can be a layer of depression because inevitably when you don't feel good, there will be depression that occurs. I believe that that layer of depression or despair that we can experience with this condition is low serotonin levels. We know that dopamine is not being effectively released in the brain. So low serotonin, low dopamine, you are going to feel depressed and low. But once again, that is a natural symptom of that overstimulation. As long as you're not suicidal, you don't have suicidal thoughts, the program is perfectly fine for you. If you have depression, you have severe depression or you have suicidal thoughts, it's very important that you open the program in conjunction with a medical practitioner or psychiatrist who's monitoring your progress. And if you have a disclaimer saying that it's not suitable for people with depression, but that may be to the extent that as you're having support from a practitioner who specialise in your mental health, then it's okay. The program is okay for Lyme disease. So we have, in fact, two of our coaches fully recovered after being diagnosed with Lyme Lyme disease is essential bacteria that's spread by ticks and there are many people who get bacteria in their blood, but one of them go on to develop Lyme disease or in a sense, the chronic fatigue for long periods of time. And I believe that the Lyme is simply a viral trigger for chronic fatigue syndrome. And because of the chronic fatigue syndrome, the immune system is depressed and there's opportunistic bacteria in the body align. So we know it works for Lyme. We've had many patients who've got better, even though they've been clinically diagnosed with Lyme disease. Also, would that address low thyroid and adrenals and insomnia? Yes. I presented a UK thyroid conference and what's interesting is that a lot of patients who have been diagnosed with low thyroid, well, what caused the low thyroid, and often they follow a similar pattern to people with chronic fatigue syndrome. So for a lot of patients, low thyroid is yet another symptom and a of the chronic fatigue syndrome. So we that even if someone's been diagnosed with low thyroid, they can still get better using the program. If you have been diagnosed with low thyroid, it's important that you follow instructions of your doctor. And in tysomnia, yes. The sleep can come back to normal once the retraining has fully kicked in. And plutonium balance? Yep. Neurotransmitters, of course, reactor balance electivity. So we have many patients who've used this for electrical sensitivities, food sensitivities and leaky guts. All these are downstream symptoms. So also with highly sensitive to many foods, but now trained, I can eat anything that I want. I choose to have a healthy diet. About genetic mutations, would they correct or stay the same genetic mutations? Those mutations that have been detected, those stay. But gene expression is something that changes. So for instance, when you meditate, there are three genes that change and that gene expression changes. So more and more modern medicine is getting away from this idea of we are slave destiny, but instead we're realizing more and more that we are able to change the expression of our genes and then brush that expression on. Chronic pain. Yes. So we've had many people use it for chronic pain. About Lyme disease. Time on Mondays, do you have your webinars? Webinars at the same time as we've had it today. So 6 o' clock UK time, which I believe is Pacific coast and 2 o'. Clock. 2 or 3 o'. Clock, sorry, east coast. If you join the webinars live, you get a recording afterwards. So this particular webinar you'll get a recording of this webinar and if you join our series of three month webinars you will get the webinar recording. If you can't make it live, You can, you can watch them later. Is it different from the one that my friend had in 2010? Yes, the new program is updated so it's worth getting the new version of the book certainly because it's different and I think that now webinars that we have so the 12 webinars that all the updated information. So now the webinars are the core treatment and the DVD programs are supportive to that. In terms of aftercare with therapists, we have around 10 to 15 therapists all over the world who can have one on one sessions with you via Skype or on phone. Another supportive process. I definitely encourage people to have the one on one support. Information. Very interesting. I can relate to everything you say but I will ha ha. At the amount of time I have suffered from me. It starts 30 years. Do you have any patients who've recovered from so many years of me? Yes, we've had people who've had it for 20 years. 30 years, 40 years. I had a guy who was in his 80s, believe it or not, who'd had it for I think over 30 years, used the program, was really motivated and was able to get better. Where you can find this is if you go onto our website and you click success stories. You will see lots of video success stories but there are also some, some written success stories and you'll see some in there that people have had it for decades. Can you reflect ptsd? I believe this was a trigger for my me. Yes, I believe it can help ptsd, but it's also important that you have the right psychological support for that as well. Able to have success with the program whilst working I about 30 hours a week. Yes. So there is some time that's required for the program but it can fit around a normal life. So once you watch the video, attended the webinars, it can fit around a normal life and the treatments and the processes will help you deal with day to day life. How does gram take every day? So we Advise at least 30 minutes a day in one sitting, less than 30 minutes a day which everyone can manage. There are some exercises you do in the morning and during exercises which can fit around your normal life and really commitment and look, I will say this to everyone, I really hope that you will give this a go that for six months you'll commit to this program, commit to the tools and techniques put away skepticism or your worries and go for it and see what happens. And nothing to lose because if it doesn't work, you can return it. But I think the vast majority of people can really significant improvement or fully recover using these techniques. Works for people diagnosed with all three fibro, CFS and mcs? Absolutely. There are quite a few people who have all three. I program for three years. After 30 years, I found relief and dramatic transformation in my health. Coach to others using this program. Do you have that kind of training? Yes. Have a training program for people who recovered and want to help others. So if you contact us, you'll be put on the waiting list for that and we'll let you know when we start that. But this is a beautiful example of someone who's used the program. They had this for 30 years and they've had a full recovery. And that's, you know, that's incentive and motivation for us. Do you identify the triggers for the dangerous do you identify the triggers for the dangers to occur in order for the training to be effective? And triggers are. I'm trying to address them. You know, it's not always necessary to identify what the trigger the tools are being fully identified. I reacted to stress and release adrenaline. Can I change the stress response? Yes. Everyone can eventually learn to train their stress response. The reason we can sometimes feel a victim of this condition is it's happening automatically, unconsciously. We have no control over this condition. It's not like a psychological condition. But these particular treatments are retraining the brain to use excessive responses and learning to control a previously uncontrolled reaction. And the beauty of this. So just like learning to drive an allergy, there is a certain day, on the first day of your first driving lesson that you have to drive. Your brain doesn't know how to drive. And then to an unconscious brain just creating stress and overstimulation. But as you drive, you train your brain with motivation and positivity to no longer be in hyper defensive mode. And then you recover. Now this is what someone's asking. I believe that the chemicals that make me sick are harmful. Is the chemical in the coal mine notion not an accurate one? For those of you with mcps sometimes go on these online forums will say, yes, all mold is dangerous for everyone. All chemicals are dangerous. We live in a polluted environment and we sometimes feel a victim of being in this polluted environment that we live in. It takes energy. If the mind really was dangerous, then all the marinaries would have the same reaction. But some people don't react to the environment, they have no health, they have no symptoms from the environment. Some people do is the brain has learnt to become sensitive to that chemical. So we should aim to lead clean lives, remove ourselves from pollution, etc. But that it's not chemicals themselves that are causing the condition, it is cause plus our hyper reaction to the chemical which is causing the CNCs and psychologically we need to shift that notion that these make you sick. No, although these chemicals aren't great, it is micro reaction that is causing the sickness. Is it private chemicals coaching with you? So I don't do any private coaching now because I focus on research and webinars and things. But a lot of our practitioners are very experienced, highly skilled. So I just advise working with one of our practitioners. Significant trauma along CFS can the amygdala retraining still work? Yes, can. And you see most people and most certainly from fibro research. So there's a higher people who have fibro who have childhood traumas and things like that. So it isn't actually part of the condition that people that would have had more significant traumas or difficult childhoods. So that has to interfere with your retraining. In fact you can support that? I have, yes. Pots. Once again it's useful to get treatment for pots, but I believe that POTS is a symptom yet again of this condition. Will start next Monday. Assume that we've already received the home study course and started it. The webinar series starts next Monday. If you were to purchase the program today or tomorrow in the UK you receive the DVD program within a matter of a day or so. Europe if you're in the us, Canada, you probably receive the program in a week or so, a couple of weeks. But the masters are self contained. So whatever you learn the webinars, you don't need to have received the home study course. So we had a demand for this particular webinar was a lot of wants to join but they wanted to talk to me first. So that's why we set up this. So if you sign up tomorrow or during this week for the program, then you can start with our first webinar next Monday and that's perfectly fine. Do you classify with CFS or do you simply need to be fatigued and have anxiety? Each pattern is different. If someone is severely fatigued then they may not have crashes. So it's not necessarily a symptom of cfs. Most exertional malaise is if you exercise and you feel 10 times worse then that's only a symptom of CFS. It can cause secondary illnesses like calcified lymph nodes that I don't know about. But I do know that certainly lymph nodes are affected by the ovary stimulation. Have had cfs. I'm interested in the whole issue of stress reactivity. Yeah. The program will give you the overall looking at how stress works in the body. Some other timing 6pm UK time every which is 7am European time. Successful for those who've had prolonged withdrawal symptoms from benzodiazepine. You know it's not designed for that. I've had people who've been able to successfully come off anxiety as psychotic medication using this program but that wasn't originally what it was designed for. But dermatology is quite similar. Professional support are part of the program. So if you go to the coaches website on our program website if you click on coaches then you can see a list of coaches and you can have a free 15 minute consultation with any of our coaches. Would it be elevate some neurotransmitters by nutritional means? I don't know. Link to this presentation? Yes. So you'll get this video. So it's worth showing this video to others. Chloral can help those of us with very high viral type. With this research is mixed. Some will soon benefit from antivirals if they've got very high viral titers but themselves are very strong medications and can cause secondary problems. So I've got people to start with the program and work through that before they start having these very heavy medications. Program since the DVD program from three years ago. So we work a lot more using a protocol hearts therapy which has been very helpful compared to two three years ago. So I would recommend joining our new webinar series. Chris. Is connected with a certain spiritual worldview or is it neutral? The meditations that we offer are completely secular, non spiritual in some ways and just about calming the mind. And meditation and mindfulness is now a very mainstream thing and if you have a religious belief you can use it as part of that. If you don't, it doesn't matter. Okay, let's come towards the end of our webinar here because I know that for a lot of people there's quite a time and people might be feeling that they can't concentrate any further. I'll just scan to see if there are any other questions that I haven't answered already and then we'll wrap up our webinar. Psychological problems such as dealing with guilt. The tools and techniques within the Program can help with emotional things, guilt, etc. Because it's a toolkit. What would you is a toolkit that whatever you experience in life, there's something in the program that can help. Is it suitable for someone who has not bought your book and dvd or to renovate someone who hasn't practiced the program in a long time? So the whole package, if you haven't got the Gupta program yet, you can buy the whole package on the website. If you've already got the DVDs and books, you can sign up to the webinar by itself. Yep. So an option just email our clinic and you can sign up to the webinars by itself. But that's only if you've already got the dvd. The program to start on. Because concentration can be a problem. Yeah, concentration. So the way is there are kind of longer versions, so you take it at your own pace. And I explain all of that in the webinars. And gluten allergy involved in your experience. I believe that actually we are sensitive to gluten and when our babies go into a hyper defensive mode, they're even more sensitive to dairy and gluten. So it's useful to reduce those. But celiac disease, in my view, is a separate condition. Chemical or be harmful from this treatment. Now, you know, with our treatment, the thing we've ever had is a couple people becoming more anxious as a result of using the treatments because it's something new. But the vast majority of people have never reported anything harmful and we give support. So if there's any issues that come up, we have our practitioners, we have our forum, we have our webinar. So you are supported through your program. Do you have any speaks French? Yes. We have a coach called Sefi who can work with you on your recovery. HI. I've had CFS for 11 years and I feel I've recovered to 80%. Could your program help me to recover to 100%? Yes. So we have people who've made an ad hoc recovery themselves, but they look extra bit and our program has helped me three. Following your program in November DVDs and the webinars that start next Monday. Do I need to follow every session? You have to buy the whole package. So you can't do the webinars by themselves. You have to buy the whole package of the home study DVD course and the webinars together and then you choose which bits you're able to to use. Chemical bacteria in the gut are destroyed from atrophic gastritis. You see all of These different things, as I mentioned the hypothesis there will be diagnoses of the physical things that might be wrong with the body. But we get to the core problem here, which is the systematic healing state. The body and brain into that healing state. Then I believe the body itself heals itself of so many different conditions, imbalances caused by bad diet and stress, which can cause some of these secondary conditions. So by using this program, we're putting the body in the best optimal healing state to be able to recover. So we do have to wrap up. Iodine alone is enough to reverse severe infections and toxicity. Or will I work on these alongside the program? Yeah. This is where you are a doctor. And if that is helping you and you're finding that the symptoms are getting better, then that's okay. But if it's not and it's making symptoms worse, then just focus on our program. Where to start, you're unsure and don't sign up this week. Wait three months for the next one. Yes, we have a three month program starting next week and the next three month program will start in January. What involved in the training? So in the one and a half hour meetings that we'll have every Monday, I go through some content and some exercises. Then we practice those exercises and then we have questions. Okay, so similar questions that have come up might take your course. I do a lot of meditation and mindfulness already. So mindfulness is part of the program, but it's not the core. It's the retraining that really helps. Information about the free 15 minute coaching session. Yes, with our practitioners on coaches page, you just click on coaches on our website 15 minute session with any of them to see if it's right for you in terms of working with you. Okay, we've got a few questions left. So if you answered your questions quickly, email us@infouptography.com and what we'll do is we'll answer those questions via email. Okay. I'd advise you to do is you can read and watch from the testimonial and you can find out about the packages on our website. And as mentioned, the webinar is just start next Monday and I really hope that you can join us. You know, for me it's about finding you better and find that the webinars are really the thing that gets them better. Some people find working with a practitioner, some people find it's a DVD program, all different tools and techniques. We've gone through comprehensive. We want to get you better. I hope that you make this decision to give it a Go. Because you've got nothing to lose because you have that money back guarantee. You can obviously give your money back. But I know it's not just the money, it's a time investment as well. And this investment in your health, yes, it does take a commitment, yes, it will take some time. Each day results of being able to get your health and happiness back, to get your, your normal life back is so worth it. I would encourage all of you to really seriously consider this program. Thank you for your time today for attending this webinar. So what we'll do is we'll send you a recording of this webinar as well so you can watch it.
