Ashok Gupta reassures listeners that being "sensitive" is not a flaw but a valuable trait that brings empathy and deeper understanding. He acknowledges sensitivity can make people more easily "wobbled" from their center but emphasizes recovering quickly through practices like centeredness, awareness, and regular meditation, illustrated by an anecdote about "Clive the Clown."

There's nothing wrong. Don't let anyone judge you for being sensitive in inverted commas. It's a truly beautiful trait to have. And every trait in life has some positive aspects and some disadvantages. And we can actually take advantage of both in the sense that when we are more of a sensitive person, a more cautious person, perhaps an over defensive person, the benefits of that are we actually are more empathic with the people around us. We're able to really understand people at a deeper level. That empath style. And at the same time, all of the processes that we're going through enable us to reduce the impact of that sensitivity by strengthening our nervous system so it isn't wobbled so easily. Take our friend, Clive the Clown. I don't think we've introduced Clive the Clown on this particular webinar series or in fact, any previous one, perhaps many, many years ago. So Clive the Clown is a sensitive soul. And in the past, if something hits Clive the Clown, it might be a work situation, it might be a relationship issue. He would get wobbled off as his center. Whoa. And he'd fall off his center. But he learnt to develop the skill of centeredness, of awareness, of regular meditation. So he rounded this part of him so that he was able to jump back to the center much quicker than he used to be able to. Our reaction to the world around us, nothing wrong with that. Never judge yourself on that. What matters is how quickly do you spring back to your center. Oh, and now we've got thunder and lightning. Okay, okay, so we'll go back to the mic here. So how quickly can you go back to your center and through all the tools and techniques, through all this regular meditation.
