A first-person YouTube testimonial (speaker: Karen) describing onset of severe fatigue and thyroid-related problems around 2007–2008, a functional-medicine diagnosis of chronic fatigue and celiac disease, dietary changes (stopped dairy and gluten), and persistent fatigue. Karen enrolled in the Gupta Program, used meditations and group sessions, rebuilt a sense of safety and self-efficacy, gradually increased walking and exercise, and reports feeling ~90% better now with clearer mind and resumed activities (e.g., playing pickleball twice in the last week).

My name is Karen. This is back in like 2007, 2008. I started feeling more tired and having issues, thyroid issues. Got to the point where I couldn't walk up steps and just five steps to our house was just exhausting. The foods that I could eat became very limited. And, and so I eventually ended up with a functional medicine practitioner and she diagnosed me with chronic fatigue and celiac disease. I immediately thought, well, I couldn't eat sugar before, but I stopped all dairy, all gluten products. I felt better, but I still had the fatigue. I was able to eat more foods, expand my, my diet, but I still had problems with fatigue. I signed up for the program and started doing the meditations and, and going through the program, it just made me feel so, not alone because there were all these people who were met, we were all meditating together and it was just, just a really wonderful feeling. And, and, And I, I just gradually got better and started believing that I could get better and really started nurturing my sense of safety. Let's put it this way. I, I, I started feeling that I could really do something with my health. Through this, through the Gupta program, I could really improve. And even though I was going through the motions at times, when I started believing that I could do it and started feeling that I could get better, I started getting better. I could walk farther. I started walking twice a day, maybe a couple blocks. But gradually I was able to lengthen the length of my walks and able to do a few stretches and a few exercises. So now I feel stronger than ever I'm able to. I played pickleball. I've played pickleball twice in the last week for the first time, and that's just excellent. I just so happy I can do that. And, and I didn't have any repercussions. I wasn't tired. I was able to go on and do other things. I just feel much better now. Even, I would say 90% better now. Today I feel 90% better, much stronger. My mind is much more clear and I just feel more myself than I ever have in quite a number of years.
