Transcript of a Gupta Program webinar featuring Ashok Gupta and Frances (a coach/supervisor) discussing meditation, the program's retraining approach, and clinical evidence. Frances emphasizes meditation as a core tool; Ashok cites a published randomized controlled trial showing substantial short-term reductions in fibromyalgia scores after an eight-week intervention and notes ongoing plans for larger phase III trials.

So thank you so much for joining us. So Frances is one of our coaches and also is one of the supervisors on the coach training team and you can find her details on our coach page online and she's going to join us to answer any little questions that people may have. So thank you for joining us. Frances, do you want to just introduce yourself? Yeah, it's good to be here. Yeah. I've been a Gupta coach for 12 years now and just really happy to be here and be here with you all today and explore. Yeah, explore the Gupta program and foundations and what you're covering today. So, yeah, glad to be here with you all. Great. We had quite a few questions about meditation. Yeah. For many people it's a new thing. They're just getting their heads around it. From your experience of working with so many of our Gupta retrainers, any advice you'd have on meditation to share with them? I think really what you said about, you know, starting with 20 minutes is really great and then building up step by step and doing longer meditations over time and yeah, it's a really powerful part of the retraining. It was certainly powerful part of me retraining my, my brain and system back to health many years ago as well. Lots of meditation. So really? Yeah, really recommend it to clients as well and, you know, as you, as you suggest in the, in the program, really. So. Yeah. Yeah. Good. All right, thank you, Francis. And those what ifs, because people may not quite understand why it's so important to really understand the hypothesis. Have you found that with people you've worked with, when they really get it and understand it, even that itself can make a step change in their health? I find. Yeah, absolutely, yeah. Because obviously if you believe in the program and believe in the hypothesis and then, you know, you've got the power to retrain your own system back to health, give you a lot more trust and belief that you can recover? Yeah, yeah, Good. And something else that can support people with those what if questions is, as many people may or may not know, we're the first neuroplasticity program in the world that have published a randomised control trial and you can find that on our website. And that was on patients with fibromyalgia. And it's a very short intervention, so only eight weeks, and it found that. And we had a control group as well and it's the gold standard in medicine and it was published in the Journal of Clinical Medicine and it found that just after an eight week intervention in the control group, there was no impact on fibromyalgia scores, but in the GUPT program group, there was close to a 40% reduction in fibro scores, which is incredible. And obviously had that been a six month intervention study, we would hope that the outcomes would be even better. So for anyone who's on the program right now, you can read those details online. And that should also help relieve any skepticism or any worry that we've got independent clinical evidence on this as well. And we're going for larger scale phase three trials currently.
