Kim’s Post Concussion Syndrome Success Story With The Gupta Program

A first-person testimonial from Kim describing severe, persistent post-concussion symptoms (migraines, photophobia, sound sensitivity, sleep disruption) after a fall that led to a concussion. She recounts how symptoms disrupted work and daily life, and how using the Gupta Program’s techniques (a seven-step process and short ‘softening’ flows) gradually reduced and sometimes eliminated migraines, restoring confidence and social activities.

My name is Kim and my life before I became unwell was quite stressful. Even though I didn't really recognize it as such. I was starting to have some skin eruptions and different symptoms coming up. My sleep was impacted, but I was just carrying on as I normally had. I actually fell down the flight of stairs and I had a concussion, bruising too. But the biggest impact was the concussion for me. So it pretty much turned my life upside down with the concussion. Sometimes you hear people, they say, you know, I had a concussion. They rest a couple of days and you know, they're fine. That was not the case for me. I was out of work for about six weeks and during that time I was having terrible migraines. I had other symptoms as well. I had light sensitivity, photophobia. So I really couldn't look at the computer, Couldn't really go outside with the sun. It would trigger a migraine. I had sound sensitivity. So also flashing lights were a problem. Just leaving the house was a problem because you could see a police car go by and instantly I would trigger a migraine. So it was really kind of difficult to drive during that time because I never knew, you know, what was going to happen next. I felt like. I felt like I really didn't have any control over my body and I just had to manage my environment. And then after about six weeks, I had to go back to work. Being at work, it was very challenging because I couldn't control the environment. Things like the elevator dinging or people talking loud in a meeting or, you know, I would wear like an earplug in one of my ears. I'd cover it up with my hair. So I was doing. I had special glasses for the compute. I was doing different things to try to deal with the symptoms, but the root cause was still there. I'm at 15 migraine days or whatever a month and I'm like, I don't know what to do. And basically I was like, I think I'm going to try that program that I bought. The miraculous thing happened when I started to be able to abate migraines. The first time it happened, I thought it was a fluke. But then when it continued to happen and I didn't even have to be at home, I have had a situation where I like was getting stressed out. It was raining, I was driving, I pulled over. Normally that would have given me a really bad migraine. Using the seven step process, using maybe like a 10 minute softening flow, it was gone. So that's when I knew, like I really had something with this, and I was very committed to seeing it through. I've had periods where I've had months and I haven't logged a migraine. It doesn't control my life at all. I've been able to go to concerts and not get migraines, flashing lights. I've been able to have a good time, not wear my glasses, my special glasses or sunglasses, just even, like, a police car coming by. I might even just close my eyes. If I'm not driving, of course. But I don't have that fear. That's. To me, that was a big milestone, that empowerment, to say, like, if it comes, I really don't have to be afraid of it because I have these tools and I can address it.
