Linda (speaker) recounts developing neurological Lyme disease with symptoms including swelling around the brain, aphasia, severe pain (shoulder blades, neck, head), profound sleep disruption, and social isolation. She enrolled in the Gupta Program (brain-retraining) and reports gradual improvements: restored hope, better sleep, reduced sweats and pain, improved digestion, stronger social interactions and trust, regained joy, and achieving a major goal (traveling to Europe) about a year after completing the program.

My name is Linda. I first became ill with Lyme disease. And this was a. An infection that was known. You could see where the tick was. You could see a ring. But I didn't get medical care. I quickly became. I had neurological. What they. I learned became neurological Lyme. And so I had swelling around my brain and I had aphasia. So like I'm doing talking to you today, I was smiling and I was nodding my head. I could understand what people were saying, but I didn't have a voice to. To share. So I'd lost my voice and took some years to move forward out of that. I was at. In my. My home. I. I really couldn't drive for quite a while. I was in a bay window in our home watching people walk their dogs by, you know, they. All day long. I think every aspect of my life was impacted. It's severe pain in my shoulder blades and behind, just at the base of my neck, behind my head. I mean, severe. I had. I would have some nights when I thought, I don't think I'll make it even through the night. It was that severe. My sleep was totally disrupted. I would say the other. Other thing that impacted me a lot was just the loneliness and then not being able to go anywhere and join groups. You could, you could do a few online things, but that was really difficult to think through how I would do that, get the energy to sit up and do things for that long. So those were most of my symptoms. The Gupta program became of interest to me because I have a background, background with our son in looking for things that are. That do brain retraining. When I first started the program, the first thing I noticed was hope. And I thought, okay, that's. That's a foundation. I can build on that. What. And what I started to find is my sleep was improving little by little, my sleep actually was improving. My sweats were leaving my pain, and it was. That made my day better right away. My day became better because of that sleep. And then it further helped me. My digestion started to settle down. And then I think longer as I went longer, I noticed my relations with people around me. I was more trusting. I could interact more with them. I enjoyed. And a really big thing for me that the program brought was joy. I would say after a couple months, maybe earlier, I don't remember for sure. In the program, I set a really big goal, and that is that I wanted to. I'm in the United States and I wanted to go to Europe. I. I started this. I was sitting in my you know, in my bay window at my home. Not much hope. That was a really big goal. So that was a milestone that actually happened about a year after I did the program.
