A first-person testimonial by Marnie Freeman describing a long (10-year) struggle to obtain a Lyme disease diagnosis, severe cognitive and fatigue-related impairment, and life disruption. She reports adding neural retraining via the Gupta Program to her treatment over the past eight months, noticing measurable improvement within six weeks and sufficient recovery to return to working 40 hours/week and resume family/social activities, while acknowledging the recovery is ongoing.

My name is Marnie Freeman and I have been battling Lyme disease for many years. It took 10 years to get an accurate diagnosis. As you can imagine, that took a terrible toll on my body, especially in the five years prior to receiving the diagnosis. When I received my diagnosis, I was non functioning. I wasn't bedridden, but my cognitive function was greatly impaired. I was facing closing my business. The fatigue was debilitating. And of course with Lyme disease, there are numerous other symptoms that go along with just the few that I've described. My, my life was in shambles and there didn't seem to be, didn't seem to be any light at the end of the tunnel. Since receiving treatment with neural retraining and the Gupta program in the last eight months, I introduced that in my treatment and it's made significant impact in my day to day with regards to being able to continue to work, continue to work with passion and joy again. It was quite, quite amazing actually to see the differences within myself within a six week time frame. It was enough, of course, to give me just that little bit of hope that I needed to know that okay, this, this is making a difference. I, when I would wake up in the morning, things just were a little brighter. Everything got just a little easier. I'm not at the end of my journey yet, but I've seen so much progress that I am back working 40 hours a week, which is something that I never dreamed possible. And that brings me joy along with everything else that I can do, which is, you know, entertaining family when I want to have a family gathering. Everything has become just not as hard. The program has made so many differences in my life that it's almost, you know, to mention all of them is, is we would be here for a very long time. I kept a symptoms diary and I would often rate my symptoms so that I could actually see my progress. So I was able to look back and see, see the progression in writing, which I think was really helpful. I did have a few aha moments. I think they were mainly when I would wake up in the morning and I wouldn't have that complete feeling of dread that I had to somehow pull my socks up, get out of bed and face the day again feeling as lousy as I did. And for me that was a huge milestone. There's a peace that comes to you when life becomes more normal.
