Hello and welcome back to our session on acceptance and surrender. And I thought we'd do a short Q and A to see if you have any questions about the content that we covered or the meditation or any feedback. We always love to hear from you. So I'm just going to go to the comments section of the video and just see if you've got any questions. So please do ask those in the comment section. Q and A. And please do let us know where you're tuning in from. Always nice to know the countries that you're joining us from. So Tasman asks, can you do your program in monthly installments, please? Okay, so please do speak to our clinic and we will see what we can set up for you there. So please just send an email to our clinic. Infouptaprogram.com joining us from so Tosman asks, can you do your program in monthly installments? So once again, we've had a couple of sessions already. If you're joining us for the first time today, we've had one session talking about acceptance and surrender and what it means and how we can bring it into our life to support healing from chronic illnesses. Then our second session was a live meditation. The first time we've done an acceptance and surrender meditation for chronic illness. And then this is our third session. Just a Q and A on any questions you may have specifically on the topics of acceptance and surrender. Okay. Some people say they're getting feedback. That should fix it, hopefully. Thank you for that, Ruth. And if you haven't got any questions, please just let us know where you're tuning in from. Always nice to see our international audience. Okay, hopefully we fixed the feedback issue there. Or maybe not. How is that now? Is that better? Tasman asks, what if specific symptoms bother you during meditation? Meditation is a process of awareness rather than trying to change anything. So yes, we may be retraining our brain at other points in time, but during meditation, whatever is happening, whatever irritation we're experiencing, let it happen. Because that is the training of the mind to say there is something going on that is irritating me rather than identifying with the irritation. I am the observer of the irritation. You don't try to change it or try to retrain yourself. You just observe. And even if it feels like it's difficult to not get caught up in it takes time. That is a form of training. Audrey says a big hello from Dallas and my husband is from Edgeware. Who would have thought that's just around the corner from me? How long? I've just enrolled. How long is it Taking for the course materials to ship to America at this time, I think it's taking a couple of weeks, Audrey. But as you know, now that you've just bought it, you can obviously start with the materials online. Ruth's from California. Welcome to you. Susan from Colorado. When we've experienced loss and grief in our lives, such as the loss of a loved one, how may we move through the effects of this? Very good question. Each process of the grief cycle is moving towards acceptance and eventually surrender and letting go. But let's focus on acceptance. When we lose someone that we loved, that was a big part of our lives, we go through those cycles of shock and denial. I can't believe this happens. We're numbed. It's the freeze response. And then we can go into the anxiety, the fear, the depression. All of these different stages, although they're not necessarily sequential. So whatever you're experiencing, the key thing is to not suppress it or try to want it to go away. Grief is the natural healing of our mind in response to change. So a change has occurred. We've lost a big part of our lives. We don't want to repress that process. So the grief, when it is experienced, we allow the tears to come up. And this is a very different experience between east and West. So in the west, if someone goes to a funeral, we say, oh, that person was really brave. You know, they didn't cry, were really strong for the family. And we see that as a positive thing. Whereas actually in the east, when someone passes on, they actually display that person's body in a casket. And each member of the family has to go around and really look at the body and see and associate into this idea of death that this person is no longer here. And they cry, and they even hire people to cry with you, because that's part of the healing process, is to really tune into your emotions at that moment, really indulge the grief and let the tears come. And I find with people that I know in the east, there's then less repressed emotion or carryovers from it because the emotion has been really indulged. And they have like, 10 or 12 days of intense grieving followed by celebration for that person's life. And this is something we can bring into our Western style of grieving, which is to allow the tears to come, allow ourselves to really feel it fully, and then it becomes easier to move to a stage of acceptance. Levent tuning in from Transylvania. Very exotic. Claire from Indiana. Miranda, hello to you from the Netherlands. Terry in Dayton, Ohio. Grace says I love this. Thank you. Especially the meditation. I'm confused about how to balance wanting to start intense counseling and acceptance and surrender as I feel it's very important to go over quite a lot of trauma, but this might make me feel rubbish. Plus, it's not accepting and surrendering. Let's be very clear two separate things here. The acceptance and surrender is for the path of healing from chronic illness. So it's saying the illness is here, the symptoms are here. It doesn't help me to resist. Instead, I accept and surrender. So that is one aspect. Now, if we've experienced trauma in our lives, we sure we want to move to a stage of acceptance and surrender. The counseling or the therapy or the coaching that you have is enabling you to connect and witness those unconscious emotions which were never resolved, which were never experienced fully. And by allowing them to be released, it becomes easier to move towards acceptance and surrender. So depending on the unique situation, there can be stages that we move through to get to those end stages. Let's not rush to try. I need to get to acceptance and surrender right now. The release of those trapped emotions is part of the journey. Ruth says, what if you're a researcher by nature and want to keep researching for answers? How do you accept that scenario? Well, Ruth, it's recognizing if there suddenly is a miracle cure for the condition you're experiencing, you'll find out about it, right? It'll be front page news. So for the moment, part of acceptance and surrender is letting go of that research and just working on yourself and your inner state of peace. Ilana says, how do you deal with existential terror and derealization caused by Lyme and Lyme disease? Yes. So, Ilana, I don't know if you're on the Gupta program, but we certainly find that a lot of those techniques of breathing, of meditation, of bodywork, somatic experiencing, all of these things enable us to be at peace whilst there is a storm going on around us within the mind and the body. Steffi asks, what can I do if I'm afraid of the step of returning to a meaningful life? And many of us are because we often are identified with the condition. Often our lives have revolved around having a certain illness and we don't know anything different. It's an identification. So we let go of that identification and trust that as we heal, as we get better, as, as we move back to a meaningful life, life will find a way. We are that strong spirit which will find a way of coping. And in the program we talk about protector parts that may be protecting us from healing and the consequences of that. So that's an exercise. If you have the Gupta program, I'd love you to go through. Grace says, where can we access this meditation? It was lovely. I just started Gupta a few days ago. Yes. So we'll be producing this meditation and uploading it to the online system within the Gupta program. Carolyn says hello from Toronto. Hi there. Jennifer from Calgary. Welcome to you. Cindy says, is processing trauma a multi layered process? It depends. It may well be for certain people. For other people, it's not so much the processing of the trauma, but the legacy that the trauma left. So there are two stages. Are there any unresolved emotions that are trapped and repressed within you that we need to become gently aware of so they can be released with tears of recognition and joy? And secondly, what legacy did those experience leave? What legacy do they leave in terms of your emotional makeup, your parts, your happiness? Then it's processing that aspect as well. Those are two examples of layers, but each person is unique. There can be many layers to it, or there may only be one. Lots of Canadians here says Jennifer. Welcome to all. Okay, so we're just going to. I'm just going to answer specific things about acceptance, surrender, because now there's a lot of messages on here. How do doing the stops or doing some of the brain retraining fit in with surrender and acceptance? Remember that these stops or the processes that we use in the Gupta program are interruption, not a repression. You're not repressing, repressing or pushing away the symptoms or the thoughts. You are retraining the unconscious patterns. And that's why step two is acceptance and surrender. Deep acceptance of what is happening. Acceptance of yourself, acceptance of the world around you, Acceptance of your condition. Laura says, I feel contaminated by deep cynicism that I absorbed from my first husband. How can I release this? How can I surrender this? I guess work with a coach, things like that. It always helps to have some support from somebody else. Recognize what your goal is to release that cynicism. And sometimes we can blame our past for that. I often find out personality traits are not just from our past. They're from a whole host of different things. How can we recognize and understand what those patterns are? Observe them. Let them go. 50% of the healing is to observe what is going on in our mind. Our mind is vibrating the mental noise, and we're caught up in it. Whether that's cynicism or sarcasm or whatever it may be, we take a step back and observe. That is 50% of any self development journey and then we can move through that. Sandra asks how to deal with the stress of long haul Covid having an unknown condition and knowing it will be years until some medical answers emerge. Well, Sandra, I would like to give you hope. And you know, we at our clinic are already treating long haul Covid. We've already successfully treated persons with long haul Covid. They've gone back to 80 to 90% better getting back to work. And I don't feel that there is a medical mystery here. There are certainly maybe a minority or a small group of long haulers where there may be something unusual going on. But I do believe that the vast majority have essentially triggered a version of me chronic fatigue syndrome. And so rather than having that fear and stress that this is something unknown, I won't be able to get better. I'd love for you to experience the Gupta program. It comes with a one year money back guarantee, so you've got nothing to lose by giving it a go. And we're already having successes with long haul Covid. And if you visit our long haul Covid page on a website, you'll even see some videos of patients already talking about how they healed from being bed bound with long haul to now returning to a normal life. Carolyn says thank you so much. My mum is facing cancer and I find it difficult to overcome the anxiety. Will my anxiety about my mother hurt my healing with the Gupta program? Carolyn, all of these things are our own experiences and choices. You're meditating, that's great. Retrain. Use the brain retraining for anxiety about your mother. That's not going to help your mother or yourself. This is a great training course in acceptance and surrender. So each time a new challenge comes up in your life. Karen, as you say, really sorry to hear about your mother and cancer. Everyone's going to be experiencing challenges. And when you experience that challenge, see it as another opportunity to yet go deeper into your practice of surrender and letting go. And just when you think you've cracked it, just when you think, I know what acceptance is now I know how to surrender. Another challenge can come into our life to help us let go even more. Let go of our attachments to the material world around us, to go deeper within ourselves, to the source, that inner sanctuary, that eternality. Nina is asking a question about how do we deal with extreme identification with illness. Yes, Nina, there are many people who've had illnesses all their lives and it does become a deep identification. Just know that even if that is the case, healing is possible. It will Require courage, it will require bravery, because change is a very brave thing in our lives. And that's where there is that support. Take support from a coach, therapists, who can support you through that transformation. Is it helpful to do emdr? Ask Audrey. EMDR is eye movement desensitization, reprogramming. If it's something that you choose to do and it's helpful for you, we always say whatever helps is good. We within the program obviously have our own ways of retraining the brain and our own version of EMDR eft, which can also retrain the brain. But if you find something's helping, of course, naturally, go ahead. And I'd just like to add, if some of you are having challenges with acceptance and surrender, we do have a program called the Meaning of Life Experiment that I think can be very useful in going along that journey of understanding the deeper meaning of life. Because if we think, why did this happen? You know, why do bad things happen to good people? Well, the ultimate question of why does God let bad things happen? If we don't have a philosophical perspective on that or a way of processing that, then we're going to stay stuck, cynical, resistant to life. So the Meaning of Life program, the Meaning of Life Experiment takes us on that journey to a deeper understanding. And many people have found relief through that journey. Farhan says, hi, Ashok, I'm from Canada. I love your program. It has helped me a lot. What if a symptom is serious and potentially life threatening? How do you accept that symptom? I really struggle with this as someone using the Gupta program for an autoimmune disease. Farhan, I'm sorry to hear that you're going through that or Ferran. So I mispronounced your name Ferran. There. I hope I pronounced that correctly. If I understand that it is the ultimate challenge because it brings us in touch with our own mortality. And I spoke about this when I talked about COVID 19, how it's made a shift in consciousness because we're more aware of how precious life is, how short life is, and so sorry to hear that you're experiencing that. The answer is still the same. It's a deeper layer of surrender and acceptance. It is here you're doing what you can to overcome your illness. And if you resist it, if you are upset by only makes things worse. So become aware of your reactions, your emotions to your illness and say, how can I accept this? At a deeper level, how can I surrender and let go? And ultimately it is the surrender to death itself, recognizing that the Moment we were born on this planet, we made a contract with life that the flip sides of the same coin, that birth will happen, death will happen. Each year on this planet, there are whatever, 60, 70 million deaths and 140 million births. Life is a constant process of change, transformation. And so when we can fully contemplate our own death and surrender and let go to it, everything else becomes so much easier. And we did talk about this in the Coronavirus Challenge retreat. So please do email our clinic and we'll see if we can send you a video about death and how we can approach death and our own mortality, which just produces a sense of relaxation in the mind and body. And just to let everybody know, we are starting a new series, a new webinar series on Tuesday the 2nd of Feb. So our webinars have now shifted to Tuesdays. So if you'd like to sign up for that series, this is the type of content that we'll be doing. Within that, if you haven't got the Gupta program yet, you get 12 weeks of webinars with myself included in the program. And it's a great opportunity, a great moment now to get the Gupta program. Enjoy these webinars with myself and the full program as well. So starting on Tuesday, 2 February. Good. So I think I've covered a lot of the questions and comments that you've had. Thank you so much for that. Please do share this on your social media channels. Very important we get this message out there, especially to those thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of people suffering from long haul Covid that don't know where to turn. I'd love them to feel that there's a sanctuary, a place they can come the way we can support the healing. There's no need for that sense of confusion or not knowing where to turn or feeling lost. Okay. And in the comments section you can see where you can sign up for the free trial. And also we have a special discount code, the code study to celebrate the fact that we've just published a randomized control trial on the Gupta program which showed that it was highly effective compared to a relaxation control. And it was the first ever randomized control trial published on a neuroplasticity brain retraining program. So very proud of that. So I hope you can read that on our website. And finally we have that scientific underpinning to what we're doing to really give you that strength and that encouragement to keep going with the Gupta program. If you've already got it or if you're thinking about it. Once again, the science backs up what we've been seeing over the last 10 years. 10 to 20 years, in fact. Good. So thank you so much for watching today. It's been wonderful to share these ideas around Surrender acceptance. Please do share the videos, as I said, on your social and look forward to seeing you. If you're going to join us for the webinar series on Tuesday the 8th. Did I say the 8th or the 9th? Can't remember one of those dates. February. And we'll be starting that new series and delving deeper into how we can use the Gupta Program to support your healing. Thank you so much for watching. Wishing you health and blessings and see you next time. Thank you and goodbye.
