In this video, I'm going to show you how to get a Vaultwarden instance set up on xCloud. If you're not familiar with Vaultwarden, take a look here at the GitHub page. It says it's an alternative server implementation of the Bitwarden client API and compatible with official Bitwarden clients. So, uh, you may be familiar with Bitwarden. It's a very common password management tool. Vaultwarden allows you to have all the same features but running on your own server, not depending on theirs, and you're in control of your own data. And it's an open-source implementation, which I'm a big fan of. So let's take a look at how easy it is to get it set up, because it is really easy. All right, I'm here at my xCloud admin panel. And the first thing we're going to do is add a server. I'm going to choose xCloud Managed, but you could put it anywhere you want. And I'm going to give it a name. I'm just going to call mine Vault Warden Server. I'm not going to choose a tag. I'm not going to choose an app type, but you must choose Docker NGINX. I'm going to leave it at xCloud Managed. I'm going to leave it here at the Cheapest model for now. You can put it anywhere in the— well, not anywhere in the world you want. You have a variety of options for where you want it in the world. And we're going to click pay and deploy. And at this point, it's just a very standard xCloud server. I haven't done anything special for Vault Warden. So once this is done provisioning, I'll be right back. All right. Our server is set up. That took 7 or 8 minutes. Not very long. Um, and what we're going to do now is click on one-click apps. And something I want to point out is that I made a video about one-click apps maybe 3 weeks ago. And at the time there were 12. Now there are 170. So that's some indication of how quickly they're adding one-click apps. And I mean, you can see there's a ton of options here. Um, And because I'm lazy, I'm just going to search for Vault. And there it is. All right. I'm going to give it a site title. And I'm not going to do any tags. I'm going to do a demo site because this is just for the video, but you could go live with a domain name just by clicking right here. So here's my, my demo. Domain. And I'm going to switch to that just for fun. Click next. And that's kind of it. I mean, I'm going to let this run and I'll show you what it looks like at the other end. But that was all the configuration I had to do to get it installed. Once it's running, you have to create an account just like any other web app, but that's not part of the setup. And it's Really, really easy. So in just a few minutes, I will show you what it looks like. All right, it's done installing. Right here at the very top, it says visit site. So let's do that. And there we are. That's my instance, not an account. I have to create an account. So I'm going to do that real quick. And put in a password. And one more time. And then a hint. And I'm not going to give you my hint. So that's my hint. You can check for known data breaches with this password. And so we're going to create account right now. There we go. Right here, they offer to get the extension. I'm not going to do that because that's not what this is about. And you could do a tour, but there we are. So if you're familiar with Bitwarden, this is probably going to look really familiar, but it's all running on a server you own and control and can manage the security of. So that took what, uh, 7 minutes to set up the server and 3 or 4 to set up Vault Warden, and boom, there we are. So xCloud makes that really super simple with their one-click apps. So if you're interested in this kind of thing, give it a shot.
