Hey folks, I want to talk to you about email box hosting at xCloud. They just got a huge upgrade and I'm going to show you some of the cool new features and how to set it up. Let's get started. We're looking at the front end page for email box hosting and right here it says claim your free mailbox. Uh, we'll get to that in just a second. But here's the pricing grid and here's the free box. And if you have an xCloud managed server, you can get one box for free. That's just an email address. Uh, if you need more than that, they're a dollar a month or going up as you need more and more and more. But what's really cool is what's offered. I want to come down here. Right there. So in addition to normal email stuff, it comes with calendar, tasks, drive and storage, documents, contacts, great security stuff, a bunch of AI tools, which are pretty common these days, but really useful. A portal, which I had not seen before, but I really, really like. Um, so this is really a competitor for not just like an email client, but a mainstream email service. It comes with a great web UI, but if you don't want it, you can use any email client you want. Really, it's just IMAP and POP. So if you want to use Outlook or Apple Mail or Thunderbird or anything you want, you can. Something I'm not going to cover, but I want to point out, there is excellent documentation in here about everything I'm going to tell you. So if you want to read it rather than watch the video, you certainly can. They did a great job answering a ton of questions. So I recommend checking it out. Something I'm not going to cover, but you should be aware of, is that there's really good documentation on how to migrate from the old email system to the new one because it's worth it and it doesn't cost anything. So, Why not? So let's get started. I am on a site here called cybernate360.com on an xCloud managed server, and you can tell because of the little xCloud icon here. Um, I made a point about the domain name because you can't set up email for temporary domains. It's only for live domains. I don't know why you'd want to set up for temporary, but you never know. Down here in the bottom left, you can see free mailbox, get it free. So I'm going to click that. And it takes us to the setup email system. Now I'm actually going to cancel that. And we're going to go to email config and go to mailbox. And it brings you here. And we click get email add-on and it brings up the same thing. So if that little get your free box thing goes away. That's how you get here. Something else I want to point out, you only get one per domain for free. And once you've set it up, if you delete it, you can't get another one unless you delete the site. Now you can change it. So if you decide you want, you want that address to be different, you can change it. That works fine. But if you delete it, you can't get it back. So keep that in mind. So I'm going to choose the free one here and put in the email prefix. So I'm just going to call it support, and I'm going to put in a password, and we'll go down here and pay $0 for one mailbox. So there it is. Now it's pending verification. The reason is that you need MX records set up in your DNS. If you are running your own DNS, then you have to put them in there. If you're running Cloudflare, then it's super easy, and I'm going to show you how. So I click Verify Now, and it comes here. Now these are the MX records. So if you needed to put them in your own system, uh, you could just copy them out here and put them in. There are 4 MX records and a TXT. But I'm going to auto manage records on Cloudflare and just click right here and say, okay. There, they're added, but some of them didn't verify properly. So I'm going to click verify records here. And now they're all verified. So they went in properly, but the verification didn't return the proper answer. But now it's all set. So we have our email box set up. Uh, before I go look at it, I want to show you a few things here. You can set up aliases, which are not mailboxes, so you can set up as many as you want. They just all funnel into that one. You can set up mail forwarding. So if you want all mail sent to support to go somewhere else, you can do that. You can make a catch-all for this domain. It's a cool idea, but I don't recommend it. It makes it so that any email address at this domain will go to support. Spammers will kill this. Um, unless you have a good reason, I don't recommend it, but it's there if you need it. Uh, you can set up this box with either POP or IMAP, and here are your SMTP settings as well. You can change your password and you can upgrade your mailbox. So if you need more space or you want more features, you can do that. So let's click here back to mailboxes. And you can see here we can add a new address. So if you got, I don't know, 10 people at your, at your company, you can just add more addresses. Right here you can click access and view your email, and we'll do that in just a sec. But I wanted to show you this. You can go manage or remove. Manage takes us back to where we just were, and you can get your SMTP stuff, etc. So let's click access. There we are. So here's my inbox. I don't have any email because it just got set up. Up at the top, you can choose your calendar. Here's your contacts list. Under here, you can see there's an address book, tasks, And here's the portal. So in one view, you can see, uh, new email, today's appointments or near appointments, near futures, uh, tasks and birthdays all in one interface. And you can add an RSS feed, some storage, uh, user data, etc. So it's really powerful. I like it. Um, I'm going to start an email. And here you can see right here's your, uh, address book, all the usual tools for HTML mail attachments. Um, you can attach a vCard, etc. You can choose plain text or HTML emails too. You could save a draft, but I'm going to go ahead and send this. And there it is, sent. So we go into sent, and you just heard my email arriving. And so this is what an inbox message would look like, even though I'm in sent. So there's delete, archive, replies, all that stuff. So it's full-fledged email. It's great, I really like it. And because you can easily migrate, from the old system to the new system, I really recommend you do it because it's better.
