Here's what I'd do differently if I was new in the box again. I almost got fired in my first 6 months on the job, and since I've coached at more than 200 dealerships across the country. And if I had to start over today, these are the 3 moves I'd make on day 1. Keep it simple. One habit after every deal. One pattern check after every 10 deals. One word change at a time. That is the whole loop. First, spend 5 minutes after every deal Writing what worked and what didn't. That's the move. That compresses years into months. Second, change one word at a time, never the whole script. Most managers rewrite everything when one tweak would have moved the number much more significantly. Third, reassess every 10 deals, not every one, every 10. Patterns don't show up on singles. Save this if you're new in the box.
