What an average finance manager has to do to be in that top 1% is add these 3 things every single time so that they can get to levels they never thought they could get to. Number 1, they have to be consistent. They have to create a framework and a system that they can be consistent with. They need to be precise. They need to stick to exactly what they're meant to say so they can connect with the customer and not worry about the next words that are coming out of their mouth. And lastly, they need to execute. When you do those 3 things every single time and you write them out for yourself, you'll be able to get to that top 1%. So right now, take your last 5 deals, audit them against that process, and see where the gaps are and fill them immediately.
