Adrian Anania's first great F&I deal happened by accident because he never wrote down how he did it. Once he documented every step, from his introduction through the client survey to presenting consequences, he could repeat it reliably and turn occasional good months into consistent ones.

Your best F&I deal was an accident. You know it, but it can be your baseline. I remember when I was in F&I, I did my first Option 1 deal and I couldn't believe it. I surprised myself because I had to be honest, I didn't know how I did it. I didn't know because I never took the time to write down what my best deal looked like. What does that system look like? How did I introduce myself? How did I go through the client survey? How did I go through the needs awareness? How did I go through the consequence? I had to document every last thing in that process. When I did that, I was able to replicate it, duplicate it over and over again. And that took good months to great months. But the only way you do that right now is by you documenting what your best deal actually looks like. So you have something to reference so that your system can match the outcome that you want, that you desire.
