In this YouTube segment, Austin Klar reports on the permanent reopening of the historic Park Tavern in San Francisco's North Beach. The restaurant, which had briefly reopened during the pandemic before closing, is now returning under owner James Nicholas (also of Marlowe and the Cavalier) in partnership with celebrated chef Jonathan Waxman. Together they are revamping the menu to feature Italian‑California cuisine. The venue has also been completely redesigned by interior architect Jon de la Cruz, known for the acclaimed Kfico restaurant. The new space offers 180 seats, a 12‑seat chef’s counter, and a private dining room for 65 guests. Klar invites viewers to share their thoughts on the new food and design.
