Soma might be getting a brand new rooftop pool on top of a 33-story apartment tower, and it looks pretty sweet. Allrise Capital, BDE Architecture, and Creo Landscape Architecture are working on a 355-foot-tall tower that would see the creation of 395 apartments on top of 4,000 square feet of ground floor retail and stacked parking for 32 cars. And the amenities there would include something very rare for San Francisco, a rooftop pool with seating and iconic views of the San Francisco Bay and downtown skyline. 47 units will be restricted affordable housing, and the development is eligible for a streamlined environmental review process. So hopefully things move more quickly and we get some much-needed new housing in the area. Let me know what you think of that rooftop pool in the comments and follow me for more San Francisco real estate.
