Austin Klar shows a rare two-story Joseph Eichler home in Mill Valley built in 1965. Most Eichlers are single-story, but this one has 3,700 square feet, four bedrooms, ocean views, and sits on a third acre. It sold for just under $3 million within weeks despite needing infrastructure and cosmetic work.

Actual Eichler home recently hit the market in Mill Valley's Strawberry Point neighborhood for just under $3 million, and it's one of Eichler's most unique homes because of its size and scale. Joseph Eichler was one of the most prolific mid-century developers in California, and most of the homes he built were relatively small in size, intended to serve middle-class residents. There were very few larger homes, and even fewer with two stories, and even fewer with ocean views. And this one at 12 Great Circle Drive in Mill Valley has all three of them, making it one of his rarest works. The home was built in 1965 and has 4 beds, 3.5 baths, 3,700 square feet of living space and sits on over a third of an acre. Also has some of the tallest ceilings and best views you're going to get in all of Mill Valley. And even though the home needed some major overhauling to the infrastructure and could use some cosmetic updating, home is so special and so rare it only spent a few weeks on the market before getting into contract.
