AI companies continue to snatch up massive office spaces in San Francisco. Scale AI just signed a new lease for more than 3 times the size of its current 50,000 square foot lease in San Francisco. The company's taking over a portion of Airbnb's headquarters at 650 Townsend Street in SoMa, about 180,000 square feet of office space. This is another one in a series of massive AI leases. OpenAI leased 500,000 square feet of office space at Uber's headquarters in Mission Bay, and Anthropic leased the entire Slack headquarters, over 230,000 square feet of office space.
