A century-old mansion designed by megastar architect Julia Morgan in San Francisco's Presidio Heights neighborhood has just hit the market for a monster $36 million price tag. Venture capitalist Carl Peterson and his wife Holly bought the 11,300-square-foot Tudor-style mansion in 2007 for $16.65 million and then put another $10 million into the renovation, taking it down to the studs, restoring every detail, all the floors, the walls, paint, cabinetry, everything. The 8-bed, 7.5-bath home sits on a rare quarter-acre-sized lot that's street to street from Jackson and Pacific. And as you can see, everything they did is custom with some pretty crazy color choices like the blue La Cornue range that matches the millwork. The home has insane views of the San Francisco Bay and Golden Gate Bridge, and there's also a gym/karaoke room with a wet bar and an outdoor pickleball court.
