Russian Hill is getting a brand new BuyRite at the end of August, and it's the company's third location in San Francisco, and this one will be its largest at about 4,000 square feet. The new location for San Francisco's most expensive grocery store will be at 2140 Polk, taking over the Real Foods Company space and a hair salon next door. The renovation was pretty substantial to combine the two spaces, taking out a staircase in the middle of the store, as well as new concrete, new plumbing, new electrical. Things you can expect include the familiar meat, deli, and fish counters, as well as a baked goods section. But because it's bigger, there will be more of everything you love, more baked goods, more pastries, more wine, more food, more coffee, more everything. Sales during the opening weekend will come with a gift, and 3% of all sales will go to Project Open Hand, which is an organization that serves healthy food to hundreds of people in the city a day. There's also going to be live music from 4 to 6 PM each day of the opening weekend. Follow me for more Bay Area real estate.
