Austin Klar picks three Sausalito waterfront spots: rent a duffel from Boat Sausalito to paddle with your own food and drinks, soak in Fjord's redwood saunas built on the bay with cold plunges, or grab fried chicken at The Joinery beer hall with water views.

Here are my 3 favorite waterfront activities to do in Sausalito. First, it wouldn't be a proper day in Sausalito if you didn't spend some time out on the water. I love renting duffies from Boat Sausalito because you can bring your own food and drink and you don't need a captain to drive the boat for you. You can just go out there on your own with your friends or your family. So it's a really more chill vibe with just your group. Second is experiencing Fjord redwood-clad saunas built directly on the bay with epic views and decks for cold plunging directly into the water. Pretty cool architecturally, and you're not gonna find anything like it elsewhere in the area. Last but not least, you gotta eat on the waterfront, and my favorite place for that that is The Joinery, really casual beer hall and restaurant with insane views right on the water, and they have one of the best fried chicken sandwiches you'll have anywhere in the Bay Area. Share this with someone you'd go on a day trip to Sausalito with, and let me know your favorite Sausalito activity in the comments.
