Free Concerts in San Francisco's Best Park

125 free concerts are coming to Golden Gate Park this year, further cementing music as a staple piece of San Francisco's comeback. Illuminate Live is a nonprofit that's been putting on live performances in San Francisco for years, and they're officially back with their 6th season of free concerts at the iconic historic over-century-old Golden Gate Bandshell in Golden Gate Park. The concerts will run through November and feature several local artists. The concerts will take place— on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, as well as some one-off concerts on Saturdays. The nonprofit Illuminate has been a major contributor to San Francisco arts, not just through music, but through public art installations as well, including the much revered Bay Lights installation, which is officially coming back to the Bay Bridge this March. And these live concerts in particular have been a huge draw for the city, bringing hundreds of thousands of attendees. It's great for our local economy. It's great for the local artists that are featured in these concerts. And it's a great way to use an iconic park space in our city.
