Marin County is one of the best places for outdoor activities in all of California, and here are my top 3 hikes in the area if you're looking for some outdoor adventure. First up is Mount Tamalpais in Mount Tam State Park. The 2,500-foot-high mountain spans over 25,000 acres of land, and there are 60 miles of hiking trails connected to over 200 miles of hiking trails on surrounding public land. Next up is Muir Woods National Monument, which is my personal favorite. Coastal redwood forest is just 12 miles north of San Francisco, and it's very close to the water, which means the weather there is a little bit more Mediterranean, a little bit foggier, making it a little bit easier an environment for distance hiking. Distance walking. Make sure you book a parking reservation if you do plan to go. Last up is the Tennessee Valley Trail, which is a great nature walk on the edge of the Marin Headlands. Trail spits you out onto a beautiful beach where you can picnic, swim if you're brave enough, or just lounge around. Follow me for more Bay Area activities. Hello! Hello!
