A company that paid millions of dollars just to get out of SF 4 years ago has recommitted to the city with a massive new office space at San Francisco's newest waterfront community. The cryptocurrency exchange company Coinbase has rumored to have been looking for office space in San Francisco for over a year and recently closed a huge lease, 150,000 square feet at Mission Rock. Mission Rock is a brand new mixed-use community in the middle of development on San Francisco's central waterfront, and they've already garnered some pretty high-profile tenants. Visa, for example, recently opened its 300,000 square foot headquarters there. The Golden State Warriors occupy about 70,000 square feet of space there, and it's actually in the same building that Coinbase occupies now. This is definitely a positive sign for San Francisco's office market, especially in the high demand Mission Bay area, and should be a boost to local businesses.
