Chapters
San Francisco is converting a defunct PG&E power plant into a multi-billion dollar mixed-use development, and the architects behind the project are some of the heaviest hitters in the entire industry. Foster and Partners, who has designed buildings all over the world, including locally the Transamerica Redevelopment and Apple's new Apple Park campus, will be designing ground-up residential blocks 7 and 8 of the Potrero complex. Herzog de Meuron, an international architecture firm founded in Switzerland, known locally for designing the de Young Museum, will be designing a collaborative office and life sciences building, as ground-up residential blocks 11 and 12 of the complex. And CMG, the landscape architects behind Facebook's campus in Menlo Park as well as Treasure Island, will be creating a massive urban landscape that will make for great public space. I made a YouTube video going over everything happening at the development site. Comment the word video and I'll send you a link, and follow me for more Bay Area real estate.
