The largest redevelopment on San Francisco's West Side in 50 years has just been approved, and it is quite an ambitious project. The plan is to convert the Stonestown Galleria into a massive mixed-use community, and it just received approval from San Francisco's Board of Supervisors in July. Plan calls for about 30 acres of parking lots to be redeveloped into 3,500 new housing units ranging from townhomes to high-rises, including a 200-unit senior village. And 20% of the development is slated to be affordable housing. There'll also be 6 acres of parks, a dedicated area to host a farmer's market, and about 150,000 square feet for shops, restaurants, and entertainment spaces. Super happy to hear this got approved. The area needs a lot of change, and we desperately need new housing stock in the Bay Area. Follow me for more Bay Area real estate.
