A vacant 1911 bank building in downtown Mill Valley will become Treehouse, a members-only social club with a restaurant, bar, and rooftop garden. Membership costs about $250 a month and is open to anyone. The project has divided the community.
A members-only social club is coming to Marin County and people are up in arms about it. The plan is to turn a vacant century-old bank in downtown Mill Valley into a private restaurant and bar, and the city recently approved the application. The club will be called Treehouse and membership will be around $250 a month and open to anyone. The Mill Valley landmark was built in 1911 and the historic exterior is supposedly going to be restored with windows that were covered up by the bank. The first floor is going to be for food and drinks, the second floor is going to be for meetings and events, and there's supposed to be a rooftop garden. Personally, I think it sounds cool, I'm looking forward to it, but let me know what you think in the comments.
