Just because you're selling a San Francisco condo in today's market doesn't mean you're taking a huge haircut. A client just bought a new construction condo in July of 2023, but because of life circumstances, decided to sell it and upsize to a single family home. Now even though he just bought it, didn't do anything to the unit, and the condo market really hasn't proved all that much since that time, he was able to get an offer above what he paid for it. And that's even though he brought it on the market in December of last year, which is one of the absolute worst times to bring a home to market. My client knew the challenges he faced and did all the right things as a seller, from staging to deep cleaning to making the property as available as possible for 2 for open houses, and for all the marketing we did, and it really paid off.
