There's a monster redevelopment project going on at Pier 70 between Brookfield Partners and the Port of San Francisco that will transform the former industrial site into a massive mixed-use space. The plans call for 9 acres of parks and recreation space, 2,000 new housing units, 30% of which will be below market rate, and over a million square feet of office, retail, production, and nonprofit art space. It's gonna be a huge change from the now defunct warehousing site, and it's gonna be the first time in over a century that the entire space has been open to the public. I'm really excited to see how it transforms the waterfront. They've already done an incredible job with Crank Cove Park, and they've got a great anchor tenant with the new RH Gallery there.
