In this YouTube video, Austin Klar explains that San Francisco’s 80+ subdistricts vary widely, making neighborhood selection critical for both lifestyle and real‑estate investment. He references an earlier tier‑ranking video that covered many popular and less‑popular neighborhoods, but notes that the first video could not include every area due to length constraints. Responding to viewer demand, he introduces a Part 2 where he slots four additional neighborhoods—North Beach, Cole Valley, SoMa, and the Mission—into his existing tier system, explaining why each belongs where it does. He invites viewers to comment “video” for a direct link to the ranking and encourages them to follow him for more San Francisco real‑estate content.

Chapters

San Francisco has over 80 subdistricts, each of them vastly different from each other, which can make finding the exact right neighborhood really challenging. And the wrong neighborhoods here can be really bad, not only from a lifestyle perspective, but also because it puts your investment in a home at real risk. I posted a YouTube video several years ago ranking in tiers some of the most popular and some not so popular neighborhoods in the city to help guide people thinking of relocating. But since there are so many different pockets of San Francisco, I couldn't get to all of them without making like a 4-hour video. A lot of people in the comments were chastising me for not talking about this neighborhood that neighborhood, so I thought it would be a good time to make a part 2 slotting in some other key neighborhoods of the city into my tiers list that I didn't talk about in the first round: North Beach, Cole Valley, SoMa, and the Mission. If you want to see where I ranked them and why, comment the word video and I'll send you a link, and follow me for more San Francisco real estate
