In this brief news segment, Austin Klar reports on the upcoming renovation of San Francisco’s Davies Symphony Hall. The project is being led by Gehry Partners, with a new glass skin designed by local firm Mark Cavaniero Associates that will replace the existing solid precast panels and copper roof with a glass curtain wall. The renovation adds a 40,000‑square‑foot, 400‑seat recital hall and expands the interior by about 5,000 sq ft, though overall seating capacity will drop by roughly 600 seats. An outdoor terrace and event space will be created on the site of the current surface parking. Klar ends by inviting viewers to follow for more Bay Area real‑estate updates.
